This might sound crazy.. ARR sings too good. 
His humming in Luka Chuppi in RDB was too good. Oh well, in general I love to hear songs if they are good nevermind who sing that. 
SPBalasubramaniyam, Chitra, Karthik, Kamal hassan are some of the singers which I liked for their excellent voices.( in Tamil industry )

I like all the singers really, no real choices. All singers have given some hits sometime. KK, Sonu Nigam, Rahman, etc.
Toshi sung the Maahi from Raaz really well, hoping to hear more from this youngster.
Contrary to public views, I have no vendatta's against Himesh really. If I find his songs good, then I don't care whether he sings through the nose, the mouth or somewhere else.

It's all indian Music really. There's music in everyone. So amazing that every voice which has the Classical and Indian Music influence never get let out. Although, these reality TV shows, some people have been voted out who actually are more better and deserve more than the title of the show. Like the Indian Idol, Leave the first one, Abhijeet is now an outstanding singer, The second, that Sandeep guy, what in the world got him to win that? I mean Karunya
I know him, who was flawless could still lose that. And the same thing repeated in Indian Idol 3, well, Prashant improved well enough, but nowhere near Amit Paul.
I believe the Reality Shows were scope for many talented singers. Although, there's a lot of decline in the interest for anyone to participate in them. There's good thing though, I love ZEE Sa re ga ma pa. The 2007-08 season one was just out of this world. (I believe there are a lot of people who watch this!) Aneek, raja, Amanat, Musharaat, Poonam, Mauli and many more. All the top 13 were good! But the final 3, god! All of them were winners.
But Music Directors like A.R. Rahman!, well in nearly all of his new films, you'll find new singers. That's a great opportunity for many singers.
There are innumerable Legends of indian music and they are Idolized all over the world. Like the great Lataji, S.P.Balasubhramanyam(nearly sung over 41,000 songs) and many more, will just run out of space in this box.

In hindi songs, i love to hear the songs of KK, Sonu Nigam & Adnan Sami. Sonu Nigam is excellent.

Yeah Marathi singing is on the rise since the Lill Champs which ended yesterday..I like Mahadevan, Swapnil and Avdhoot in Marathi..
In Hindi, my favorite is Sonu Nigam and Shreya Goshal.... Both are terrific!
But my all time favorite singer is AR Rahman. He has something in his voice to attract you. He is not the best of the singers when it comes to technicality, but he can make you love his voice.... Whenever Rahman sings a song, it gives you a different kick (e.g. Humma Humma from Bombay, Dil Se Re from Dil Se, Ishq Bina from Taal, etc)

Well to say Sonu Nigam is the best singer male today followed by KK.As speaking of past Rafi was a legend along with Lataji and Ashaji and also who can forget Kishore Kumar??
