Target 228 For Bangladesh! ( Handy Innings from McCullum though Mortaza was impressive )
With the last five overs, Ashraful was very much contented to operate with Razzak and Mortaza. Mortaza continued his best form while McCullum always looked to accelerate the scorecard. Razzak was smashed in the end by McCullum though Mortaza was only able to get rid of Vettori!
Vettori Dismissed by Mortaza
Mortaza was bowling a very tight line which trouble both the batsmen a lots. In one of the deliveries, Vettori moved a bit and tried to smash a handy boundary but was decieved. Vetto missed the ball completely & ball striked the stumps resulting in a clean bowled.
Mortaza and the entire Bangladesh team were happy with the success in their bowling and team was once again brough together for celebration. Vettori made his way back to the dressing room and Franklin replaced Vetto at the crease for the last stage of this innings.
McCullum's Useful Runs!
McCullum and Mortaza had their great last 5 Overs. Mortaza troubled both the batsmen with a wicket of Vetto in last five while McCullum troubled Razzak & made some useful runs for the team in last five overs.
McCullum managed to get two sixes and a four consecutively in 49th Over which was bowled by Razzak. Razzak, who managed to get three crucial wickets struggled in his last two Overs and went for plenty of runs which is mainy because of the quick fire from McCullum.
Mortaza, who bowled the last over, just gave away three singles where Franklin was unfortunately on strike & struggled to take single and give strike to McCullum. Atlast, Kiwis managed to set 228 as the target for Bangladesh. Well, the score around 230 has never been easy so far in this tournament( twice already ). So we have to wait and see how Bangladesh respond to this target.
NZ ScoreCard
This has been an average batting display by Kiwis where many batsmen got the start but failed to continue it. Not even a single half century makes to look like a poor performance but the pitch played a major role.
Bangladesh Bowling
Mortaza had an outstanding performance with the ball. Other bowlers gave a great support. Razzak, though was expensive at the end, picked three crucial wickets in right time!
