SA in Safe Position!
( Pollock and Boucher dominated the bowlers )​

Well, after a short tea-break, the players came out of the dressing room for the remaining last session of Day4. It was expected to get a cloudy conditions and even rain was predicted at the start of this Day, but, the conditions seemed to be normal with clear sky. All Indian fans sat tensed and were waiting to see whether SA can be enforced to follow-on with the last hopes provided by Harbhajan in previous session. Dravid was also bit tensed and continued with the spin twins after Tea.

Some Chances Slipped Away!

Initially, both Kumble and Harbhajan did create some troubles to the batsmen. However, Pollock maintained the patience. And Boucher was very uncomfortable. The worrying factor for India is, Boucher was almost dismissed thrice but was lucky enough to survive which costed huge in later part of the session.

In one of the occasions, Boucher gave a sharp catch to the silly point while defending it.. But the silly point fielder, Yuvraj Singh dropped. He did try his level best in making a huge dive and attempting to get hold of the ball but missed the golden opportunity. Boucher was once again lucky when the ball managed to go pass between the slips and keeper while attempting a late cut. Dravid was disappointed a lot. In one of the deliveries of Kumble, Boucher almost became the victim of leg spin where the ball narrowly missed in striking the off stump. So SouthAfrica started this session with huge amount of lucks coming in their way.

Bowlers getting Punished.

It was when the spin twins were applying massive pressure on the home team, both Boucher & Pollock broke it by trying to go over the bowlers. Boucher in particular was very successful in this aggressive mode.

Pollock did play some attacking shots but remained alert at the same time and was very much contented to defend the good deliveries without taking risk. In other end, Boucher was just opposite.. He went over the bowlers blindly.. He played some magnificent shots and dominated both the spin twins. Dravid was frustrated as the follow-on margin became easy to reach and moreover, spin twins became effectless.

Indian skipper immediately responded with a bowling change of bringing the pacers back..but was of no use... SouthAfrica comfortably crossed the follow-on margin... And Boucher reached his fifty too.. The entire SouthAfrican players in dressing room gave standing applauses for this brilliant effort. Indian fans were disappointed though. Both the batsmen continued to attack the bowlers.. and Dravid became almost helpless.. Atlast, Pathan got the breakthrough with the wicket of Boucher but it was too late for India! :

Boucher Finally Dismissed!

Boucher who remained 0 from 27 balls, reached a quick 59 from another 60 balls. This Boucher's natural way of batting, infact helped SA to a great extent in crossing the follow-on margin.

In one of the deliveries, Pathan bowled an suprise short pitched delivery.. Boucher who was already in attacking mode, went over this delivery too.. He attempted an aggressive pull, but got an thick top edge... the ball went very high in the air.. Dhoni came running in following the ball's path... And ended up in taking an comfortable catch. Pathan was happy to get his first wicket but the total happiness among the team was less though.

Boucher did not worry about his dismissal.. He quickly made his way to the dressing room! Everyone applauded him for his brilliant effort in saving the team from follow-on. Boje arrived in as the new batsman. Boje took some time to settle down. And another good partnership between Boje and Pollock started developing. It seems there is nothing great for the bowlers in this pitch. Soon after, umpire removed the bails off indicating the end of the day4. The players left the field and SA dressing room was relieved finally as this match is heading towards the draw with one day and two innings remaining.

Well the final session of Day4 completely belonged to the home team where Boucher and Pollock saved their team from the critical situation. Boucher's quick fire in the end left the bowlers completely clueless. Pollock's patient support reflects his experience. Overall, SA wud be happy about the things that went in last session. Meanwhile Dravid should have been the most disappointed person and wud be looking to get the remaining three wickets as soon as possible to get some batting practice on the final day. Have to wait and see how the things turn out on Day5.

Nah, I don't believe India has any chance left of twinning this match what-so-ever. A draw look almost certain, and Pollock may still bash India for a while if he can stay on the pitch and the rest of the batsmen can support him.
