Another Wicket Down For Aussies
( Ponting's misguided call for A Second Run )​

In The Very next over, Ponting made a fumble in calling Hussey for a Second that resulted in the suicide of Hussey to throw his wicket away!

Ponting wasnt able to score runs freely in that as the shots he was playing went straight to the fielder! With lot of frustration in first five balls, Ponting was atlast able to manage to strike it in the gap that went towards the third man!

There was a slight misfielding near the boundary which made Ponting to call Hussey for a second run! Hussey initially refused but due to repeated call from his skipper, Hussey started running and unfortunately the throw came towards Hussey's end and he almost touched the line in time, but the bails were removed off by Smith and there was a huge appeal by Smith!

The decision was given to Third Umpire and after seeing several replays, it was clear that the bat was just short of the line that made the red lights to turn on sending Hussey to pavilion for duck!

It was an unnecessary call after from the skipper that resulted in huge wicket of Hussey! Also Hussey once again was dismissed for a duck! Martyn replaced Hussey at the crease! Windies team were jumping with huge joy and happiness!

Aussies Restores the Balance!
( Ponting & Martyn Once Again Looking Strong )​

With the Wicket of Hussey, Windies were looking to grab some more wickets and get back to the game in strong position, but Martyn and Ponting once again took the control and looking strong at the moment!

Martyn was looking very strong and confident! He played some beatiful straight drives, cover drives, leg glances & was looking totally in control and moved his feet very well too! Windies bowlers, however, were trying to create some opportunities every time but these two batsmen outsmarted the bowlers! Also The important thing about this pair was, they were rotating strikes at ease which is most important in ODI games!

Ricky Ponting ~ Well made Half Century!

On the other end, Ponting was very contented to keep Martyn on strike and was scoring at a steady rate! Ponting finally reached his fifty and raised his bat towards the crowd and recieved a standing applauses from every one for his well made half century!

Ponting's innings was an very crucial one for Aussies and also a responsible skipper knock! He looked confident throught out this innings! ( also through out the series ) Marto-Ponting pair once again playing an crucial innings & trying to take the game in favour of Aussies!


In Australian point of view, This pair which has been solid in recent times has to continue for a solid total on the board!

In Windies point of view, the bowlers have to get rid of this pair as both of these batsmen wud be dangerous for sure in the end!
