well that rediculous! every batsman wears an outer thigh guard. i wear both, it does wonders for confidence, especialy against short bowling, a particular weakness of mine. it also does wonders for irregular bouncing pitches, like newport cc 3rds n 4ths pitch.
fair enough, i suppose i play on the slowest lowest wicket in the world when playing at home, and favour the back foot when playing on faster bouncier pitches elsewear. just wear what ever feels best and gives you confideence
