Instigators do not get punished enough - Anil Kumble

Doesn't he run a company now or something like that?

Doesnt mean he doesn't have time to catch the test, or the highlights at least. Seeing how the incident raised allot of eyebrows, or at least the action that was taken (or lack off) I'm sure there were highlights all over TV in the cricketing countries.

We all know that Haddin is wrong. Heck, even Haddin knows Haddin is wrong. Even if he wants to argue a case, he hasn't got one. The worst part is that the baiter got away, but the baited didn't. Now you can make a sig out of it if you want, but frankly that doesn't change reality

Like I did with Cricketman :laugh

I don't think Haddin is even arguing a case, he pleaded guilty. It guyz like me that are arguing his case.

Sure. Sigs are good :clap.

I don't think there's anything left to argue about his case when he has already pleaded guilty. "Pleading guily", my friend means, the person knows he's made a mistake and he accepts that mistake. So if someone says, "Hey, Haddin is wrong", the answer should be "Yes" coz Mr.Haddin has himself accepted that he is wrong.

Anil Kumble should have said "Australians do not get punished enough". It is always Australians who sledge on the field when they are about to lose. It is their old habit to cheat most of the time.:rtfl

^^^ Read mine smarty. What I meant was that when someone says, "Hey (insert name), Haddin screwed up", it shouldn't be argued because, it CAN'T be argued ! Escpecially not when he himself admitted he screwed up. So I really dont know what/why are you defending Haddin. He screwed up and got away lightly. End of discussion :)

Haddin pleaded guilty so he got a lesser punishment, Benn on the other hand did not and he was then given a harsher punishment. That's how law works, pleading guity is seen to be showing remorse for an action so they felt Haddin knew what he did wrong and knew it was wrong. If Benn had pleaded guilty he would probably have got off with a lighter penelty.

Discipline in cricket thread turns into race war - nothing ever changes round here.

It's no better than football, some sportsmen take 'competitive' too far. Simple solution is to have a sin bin like Rugby, any on-field spats and all parties involved sit it out for a session. The batting side would have to send in replacement batsmen, like if the original batsman or pair had retired hurt, while the fielding side would be reduced in numbers with no subs.

If it were deemed an altercation were started deliberately in order to get batsmen off the pitch, then the umpires could issue a ban of the whole innings or match, but the best advice to the batsmen if they were say KP and Trott at 150/3, would be to ignore and walk away so only the fielders got sin binned. Any "accidental" incidents could be overlooked as long as there were no 'afters' eg collision between batsman and bowler, unless the collision were deemed deliberate.

Anyways, Haddin just pointed his bat and was out of line. He would have gotten fined for that anyways. No need for Benn to react the way he did. And the fact that he pleaded not-guilty made his penalty harsher. Makes sense to me.

I like the Sin Bin idea too.

Anil Kumble makes sense and to see someone like him come out in the open and say/write what he did really reflects the perception people have these days about instigators, be it of any country, race, color, ethinicity, pink, purple, blue, brown, white, black.... any really.

No one said anything about his race you jackass. He was an Indian cricketer who has played in a controversial Test against Australia, that is why people are questioning his judgment.

Either have a discussion in a civil manner or don't have one. Someone had told that. And a reply from you was not expected since my answer wasn't even meant for you. Find someone else to piss off. I'm getting tired of your redundant nonsense about this and that.

This is a public forum so expect replies from lots of people when you act like a douchebag and play the race card for no reason. I dont care if they ban me from this forum, you are the reason why so many people hate Indian cricket fans.
