Ok so 6 out of 10 managers have confirmed they will continue, still waiting on the other 4. Awesome.

A couple of ideas that I came up with for the second season:

-Imposing an age limit on regular players, probably 30 will be cut off. No offence to Chewie, but Mark Ramprakash, who is over 40, is not an emerging player. This will obviously not affect veterans.
-Removing the "less than 50 ODIs played" rule on U24 players.
-Preseason U24 cup where all your U24 players must play (unlikely)

Also I've thought about just having U24 players but not sure how well that would go.

Feel free to fire through some ideas or comment on what I've suggested.

i like this idea but make sure that it doesn't drag on for too long, so a simple knockout tournament will do.

and can we make sure that we start the tournament in the next 10 days please... if you're removing the less than 50 odi's rule.

The preseason tournament would be a knockout. So random fixtures, play, top teams advance, semi, then final. Then 2 rounds of regular warmups and then round robin.

Also the cut-off date for ages of players and what not is the day after the final. So that would be today (9th March 2011). Might as well make it easy and say 1st March 2011.

Awesome, so all managers have confirmed that they are staying on. Thanks guys. I got a project for that I want to finish before I start things up again. So things for Season 2 will get rolling next week sometime.

In the meantime, I'll be informing you of what's going to happen regarding player retentions etc. There will be no redrafts. You'll be keeping a large majority of your team for at least another 2 seasons.
