I see Mancini has gone to AC Milan now. Will be interesting to see how much game time Beckham gets now for the remainder of the season.

Beckham is a class player and he is performing quite well in Milan. Now with the Champions league. i really do not think Leonardo will going replace Beckham .

I don't think it will matter a great deal as long as he gets an adequate amount.

Capello will take him because he offers great passing and crossing ability on that right hand side, something which the other right wingers don't offer, barring an amazing resurrection of form by Bentley.

Beckham didn't start againts Bolonga last weekend though. See here.Mancini started on the right & Becks came on in the 80th minute.

I too expect Becks to start in those big Champions League games coming up. But i sort of think he may not be guarantee a first team place now that Mancini has arrived to be honest.

Yea i know Capello will take him regardless. I just wonder now that Mancini has arrived how much first team time Becks will get between now & the end of the season. Since i reckon Mancini has been bought to give Milan some much need pace.

Best Milan XI if all are fit would be:

-------------------------------Pato---------------------------------------

Ronaldinho---------------------------------------------------------Mancini

----Ambrosini-----------------Pirlo------------------------Beckham--------

Jankulovski-----------T Silva/Kaladze---------Nesta--------------Zambrotta

Yeah, I'd expect him to be used in central midfield more often now.

Him and Seedorf will probably be rotated or he could even be used in Pirlo's deep lying playmaking role.

Yea all possibilities. Milan playing Udinese right now & Becks is one the bench again unfortunately..

Wow, Inter is in terrible form. In their last 7 games (last being the most recent):

1-1
0-0
0-0
2-3 WIN
0-0
1-3 LOSS
1-1

Perfect opportunity for AC Milan to go top now. This didn't look at all possible a few weeks ago.

So, Inter Milan are now back on top of the league for the time being. Hope Roma wins the derby match on Sunday. :D

Maicon's goal vs Juventus was crazy..

Ranieri's got BIG balls. Taking off Totti and De Rossi at half-time while trailing in a Roman derby.

And it worked! :D

BBC Sport - Football - Totti left out of Italy Cup squad

Interesting stuff from Lippi's Italian squad. That eam looks so old these days.

- Very surprised young Santon hasn't been picked

- Not sure why Boreillo has been picked. Everytime i have seen him he has looked awful leading he line for AC Milan. Recalling totti would have been perfect i'd say.

I guess Lippi's squad selection is not too surprising. He went for the old guard and experience. Santon should probably be in there though.

AC Milan coule be fairly strong again now potentially with some of their signings.

---------------------------------Abiatti------------------------------------------

Zambrotta------------Nesta----------------Yepes/T Silva-------Antoni/Jankulovski

----------------------Ambrosini-------------Pirlo---------------------------------

Pato------------------------------Ronaldinho-----------------------------Robinho

----------------------------------Ibrahimovic------------------------------------

Plus with a decent blend of youth & experience on the bench. The Rossoneri could be a dangerous team again in Europe this year.

I can't imagine why this thread is not a sticky.:facepalm
