Well one thing's for sure - he's officially on my bad side now . Roma >>> Lazio , why doesn't he get that? A couple of years back , he rejected an offer from Rome and now he does this.

Well its good that he did not join your team. He always performs poorly at domestic level and his unbelievable miss versus Stuttgart this season sums it up. Also you do not want your team to hang on to a 33 year old striker when you can sign a younger player.

Leonardo is apparently leaving Inter to become PSG's new Sporting Director and Moratti is looking to appoint Marcelo Bielsa as the new manager. It would certainly be an interesting appointment if Bielsa gets the job.

lol I've never heard about this guy prior to his appointment! :p Moratti does gamble sometimes though.

Not many people (outside Italy) knew Allegri before he took over at AC Milan. Won them the Serie A after 7 years.

Gasperini did brilliantly at Genoa the season before last, but then lost too many key players to the big boys.

Gasperini's Genoa played some of the best football in Italy over the past few seasons.

Faroe Islands vs Italy in Euro Qualifying 2012

Loving the look of this new full strength Azzuri XI:

Buffon

Maggio Ranocchia Chiellini Criscito

Motta Pirlo De Rossi

Montolivio

Cassano Rossi

That mid-field especially looks top-class, once they stay together, this team is potentially the team best equipped to prevent Spain from defending their EURO title. That is if ENG also doesn't step up.

Seems Montolivo's starting to come out of his shell at international level after that monster performance against Spain.

He's always been an outstanding player but lacked that mental toughness to be top class. Looks like we're starting to see signs of that improvement under Prandelli.

Yea and as we discussed in this thread earlier, Milan selling of Pirlo is looking potentially like its going to backfire. Although the Serie A season is yet to start, Pirlo has looked close to his old self in this game and the friendly vs Spain.

We're Euro 2012 following a 1-0 win over Slovenia yesterday. Rather late, but a deserving win in the end. Strongest midfield much? Two changes from our previous win over Faroe Islands in Cassani & Balzaretti replacing Maggio & Crisicito. Otherwise, a well settled unit this.

That 3-4-3 Inter formation looks horribly out of place, especially if it means Sneijder starts from the bench, in order to get the right players to make that formation work properly.

Inter need to work it out. It'll take a few years for the team to adapt for it, but by that time Moratti would've sacked Gasperini. And also the team would be torn between 3-4-3 and their traditional formation. That would only lead to ruin.
