Ok. I e-mailed them and tried to convince them we are addicted to the game and asked them how much we would have to pay for it. I would imagine its not much as Brian Lara is discontinued. I also tried to put across the point that we would not make any profit from changing the source code, and we only want to better the game, and other various ar*e kissing lines

I think we could get maybe a 100+ email ids to convince codemasters. And how can money be raised for buying the source code? All of us are in different parts of the world.Aanyway, come on fitz, its upto you.Just imagine what we could do with the source code (drool)

Excellent!

Let's see what they say...they are in UK right? just in case they refuse to give it may be someone should steal it...hehe

Ajay, Source Code (Drool)..... Say it with me everyone....

SOURCE CODE!!!!!!

But your right. Its gonna be hard to get it. I reckon everyone should harass the till they cough up. Only if you want to do that though. ;o).

hey man if we could get so much out of source code than, better do it in a team work, post as many as email to them.Make something for it.

I think the idea here should be to follow the precedent set by ICC 2001, which Empire didn't want to make, but the people who did 2000 did. Empire agreed and only did the packaging and selling, all the labour was done for free. If we can convince Codemasters we can do a good job, you never know, they may agree?

hi guyz ,

even i'll look out for the source , just in case somebody gets hold of it just lemme know since i can program a bit too.

No way there are going to ge the code .Getting a code means that you now owe this game.no way codemasters is going to code at any cost as blc is still one of its best sellers.

But don't worry.I have friends which are good crackers i think i am also a good cracker.we people have cracked the code for Red Alert 2.I just need the ram editor to get the code which i m sure i will get

cheers........

Guys,

If they have discontinued the series then logically the code is not of much use to them either..

I think we have to get a larger base and lobby for it...many big software companies have opened source for their products so why not give it a try?

Lee, I will send them a mail...can you send me their address? I will send them a 'kick ar*e' email

Hey Guys
Why not try to persuade them to bring out a new version. We can give them our ideas and show them all the improvements we have made to the game.Since BLC is one of their bestsellesrs they might do it.We just gotta make them realize the profit they can get out of it.
