I've finally got it! BUT... (PC version)

I have a HD4850 512mb aswell, also a AMD Phenom X3 and 2GB 667 ram.

The demo ran flawlessly, 100% smooth. I installed the game today, everything high, natvie res at 1680x1050 and there was lag though still very playable. When bowling or batting everything is smooth but as you said, when there is a pan around the ground it stutters. So I knocked the res down to 1440x900 and its much better. Still the slight jitter every now and then though.

OK here are my observation about the stutter and load time:
Game stutters on my 7150M when I start it. But this stuttering is only for a few minutes. Then the game plays perfectly. After the initial few mins, the game only stutters when I have the crowd enabled. The resolution I have tried is 1280x800. I know it is very less for a game but still it's OK.

The game loads in 4 seconds for me. If you don't believe me, I will post a video. Once I press enter it takes 4 seconds to load.

Another observation is that the game runs smooth on a fresh Xp machine than an old one.

Also, on my desktop which has the Nvidia 295GTX, the game runs smoothly no matter what. The load time again is super fast!!

I got my copy today and even i have the same stuttering problem!
the demo ran beautifully but the final version is suffering! wtf transmission? Its sick to play the game lagging when i know its going to be butter smooth!:

i dont think so.If i disable the crowd,then the game is running top notch! its only with the crowd enabled that im getting the problem! This seriously needs to fixed in a patch!!

That's what made me wonder if the demo had maybe left some of the protection on the pc. Did you uninstall the demo before you loaded the full game?

Well i am also getting this problem. But in night matches it runs smoother with the crowd. Its only the day matches with the crowd that gives stuttering problem. :doh

Ok got this lag issue fixed for me, game runs smooth and even great improvement in game menu, dunno will work for others

My config:

Change these setting in nvidia control panel - global setting

Anisotropic filtering : off
Antialiasing- mode : off
Antialiasing- transsparency : off
Maximun pre-rendered frames : 8 (use max value)
Texture filtering- Quality : High performance
Texture filtering- Trilinear optimization : off
Triple buffering : on
Vertical sync : Force on

In game graphic options

resolution - 1280*720 (this resolution forced full screen and removed the annoying widescreen bars, my max resolution is 1440*900)
Graphic Detail - High
shadows - low
Special effects - off
crowd - on

worth a try guys and try at your own risk

ps: for laptop users get a laptop cooler fan for high performance

I agree. You set up a thrilling test match thats sounds like its being played in Siberia with a few bemused groundstaff wondering what they are suppossed to be doing. Why o why they couldnt have the option of even though you might not want the crowd visually you could still hear it. And its great when dear old Aggers says at the start of the match "The grounds filling up nicely now, I don't see too many empty seats" and theres only one poor bloke in a orange bib thinking " wth, where is everybody. Oh darn it's one of these Wednesday starts and everyone thinks it starts on bleeding Thursday."
