Earlier this evening I was experimenting with a configuration that would allow you to play tests in BLIC07 realisticly. Up until now, it had been trial and error, without much success. But i think that has all just changed....

I had up til now left power in the player editor up, to increase the boundary hitting chances. I decided to lower them to 88% of the original value, and stick with my other configuration. I booted up the game and tested a game between England and South Africa. Here are the results...

As you can see - that could have really happened. South Africa were the AI, and i autoplayed there innings. There scored at a steady rate of 3.76rpo. I never got off the ground however, but managed to guide Trescothick to a wonderful and hard fought 208*. This meant i declared after 120 overs, 10 overs into day 2. And i havent even finished the other two innings yet!! Take perticular note of the balls taken for the players - not one has a strike-rate above 100.

NOTE: BEFORE YOU START SCREAMING WHY WAS STRAUSS BOWLING??, I PUT HIM ON AS AN EXPERIMENT TO SEE IF THEY'D GO AFTER HIM.

I'll let you know how it goes, but in the meantime I have uploaded the new config in the Downloads section.

Nice find. Though I just noticed in the player editor that England don't have the power above 88. So my bowlers are being pounded coz I got the batsmens confidence at 100%. Which of course used with the top order batsmen is a bowler killer lol. But still, this is a great find for those who don't use the tools confidence cheat.

I've just got off the game after a thrilling finale to my test match. South Africa scored 312 in there 2nd innings off 79 overs, again very realistic, and really seemed to time the pace well. Graeme Smith the standout with an unbeaten 142 off 189 balls.

This prompted a typical English collapse as i chased 200 odd on the afternoon of the fourth day, by far the longest i have played. In the end, an excellent 41* and a 22* by Chris Read and put-in-slogger Steve Harmison saw England limp over the finish line with 2 wickets remaining.

I'l upload screenshots later, but tbh i want to play the game again!!

Ok, I installed this. My score went from this

to this

EDIT: I bowled South Africa out for 24 and 29 :(
