I am quite happy with the way our bowlers put in the efforts after Ambrose's injury. Damn, he would have been a handful in the final but luckily we have the best replacement for him the big Jamaican - Michael Holding and this time I am not holding back against the Aussies. Last time we were just about half the strength but in the final we will go with our best lineup:

Because of the pressure built by Mcgrath, Lara was clean bowled in the next over by Lillee

West Indies have lost their three early wickets.

Everton Weeks and Clyde Walcott steadied the inngs

Everton Weekes was sent back to pavilion after being given out LBW of Warne's bowling

Frank Worrell and Gary Sobers unable to withstand pressure fell in quick succession

Andy Roberts hit few lusty blows but West Indies were all out for 268

Marshall joins the party to dismiss Allan Border for 4 runs.

Greg Chappell took a hefty blow. He too got out after scoring four runs.

Australia are struggling at 15/5

Keith Miller batted sensibly to keep the scoreboard moving

Adam Gilchrist scored a critical 50 for Australia

Once Gilchrist got out West Indies wind up the tail in no time.

West Indies have a healthy lead of 102 runs. Can they build upon it or Australia would make a comeback.

I told you we have got a much better lineup. TBH, with the way things have progressed, the pitch dished out to us seems more like Sabina Park of the '80s or the one at WACA at its best. Our players, both batsmen and bowlers should love it because our cricketers of the time were quite used to play one such wickets. If we do not follow suit of Australia and score what we did in the first innings, the match should easily be in our bag.

It's gonna take something monumental to turn this around now. We've got Bradman of course, but it's still quite doubtful. Hoping we go down with a fight in typical Aussie style.

Everton Weeks wasted his wicket by getting run out

Dennis Lillee all pumped up after dismissing Clyde Walcott for 18.
WI are struggling a bit at 60/4

Lara is looking comfortable sweeping Warne for boundary

Sobers was bowled after scoring a valuable 38

Lara was going strong at the other end. Frustrated Mcgrath having a verbal feud against Lara.

Frank Worrell played 207 deliveries for his hard fought 45 runs.

Warne's takes an extraordinary catch to dismiss Lara for 186 runs

After the dismissal of Lara, Lillee and co quickly took the remaining wickets

Australia need 457 runs to win and this is not going to be an easy task. Can Australia rewrite History ?

Michael Holding bowled a peach of a delivery to dismiss Arthur Morris when he tried to play a cheeky shot.
Australia are 2 for 125

Don Bradman looking steady reaches his 50 in 120 balls

Greg Chappell played a handy inngs before getting out for 38.
Australia are 3 for 213

Allan Border played a fine inngs scoring 61 before getting out to Marshall.

There are tasks which are Herculean and then there is another level chasing 450+ in fourth innings against Windies attack of the prime.

Presentationwise I thought Lara's innings could have been presented. I never knew he crossed 100 run mark until I saw picture captioned 'Warne's takes an extraordinary to dismiss Lara for 186 runs'. May be a picture of Lara celebrating a hundred somewhere in between would have eased the flow you know.[DOUBLEPOST=1448693058][/DOUBLEPOST]Darn it! Aussies are such owerpowered in the sim. No way any side could have chased it against that attack but... I almost feel like reporting it to childishthings as a bug.

We really could have done without that needless run-out. With Bradman at the crease, chasing 82 on the final day would have been only too easy. Great innings though. Well played by Morris, Hayden, Chappell and Border too. We've still got Gilchrist, Miller, Lindwall and Warne coming in. It could still be anybody's game.
