But theres so many people that die of cancer and we're showing sympathy for her? I mean this is a disgrace with those who have cancer and those who had like Jane. Yes it's sad that she's dieing but much nicer people in the world have died and they don't get any publicity apart and the only people that knows is the guys in the street, family and her/his friends.
I've had 4 neighbours in my street that have died of various stuff like heart attack, cancer and old age. All much nicer than a racist. Jady Goody ain't good. Just to clarify myself no one deserves to die(not even Bali 9) or to have cancer im just saying much nice people die unnoticed.

I do hope she has told her kids. Imagine them getting up one morning and finding it out while reading the paper at breakfast...

Not sure why there seems to be a current trend on starting general news threads when really there isn't much to say on the subject. Surely people can read news from the bbc website (or wherever it is from) without the need to start such threads here.
For the record. I am no fan of Jade Goody. As far as I can see famous for being on a stupid reality programme and being very stupid to boot. But does that matter a jot? No. She is dying. Should it be publicised? Personally I don't think anyone here has any right to judge. But what I will say is that when the news that Kylie Minogue had Breast Cancer was made public breast cancer screenings in Australia rose by around 30%. I suspect the same sort of thing will happen here. There are people out there who are interested in the lives of celebrities and if they pick up a paper or watch a tv programme about Jade and if that makes them go to the doctor and it saves their life then its worthwhile. I think its a very brave thing to do, live your life in public knowing you are going to die. I wouldn't be so brave.

She was making fun of Indians and shilpa on Big brother...I guess Some people in India are going to be happy about this
I would sincerely hope not.
A bit of hypocrisy in the press here accusing her of making money out of it when what she is doing it no different from journalists like John Diamond. Bottom line is she has two young children and, if I were in her position, I'd be trying to make as much money as possible to support them after I was gone.
Kev is right. The fact someone is dying doesn't change the fact they are still a poor advert for celebrity culture and, whilst the BBC will probably edit the Clarkson to Stig segue if they re-air that series of Top Gear it doesn't mean the joke is crass and inappropriate.
I hope that this will raise awareness of cervical cancer and more women will go to get checked. Any young life lost is always tragic and obviously transcends whether you like someone or not.

Its sad for her and her family but I dont agree that people such as Mohammand Al Fayed is giving her a free wedding dress and Elton John is letting her use his home to get married in.
There are plenty of people with no money at all who are dying of cancer and would love the chance to have their dream wedding but they don't get given these sort of things for free. They would i'm sure be happy with ?20,000 for their kids never mind the ?2m Jade somehow feels they will need.

I think most people react in the way they do is because its hard to believe that its actually real it almost seems like the next chapter in the jade goody show. I think its fair to say none of us would walk down the street and see someone with cancer and just say 'oh well its not the biggest loss'. I think its arguable the way that she has handled it but some people should look at themselves regardless of who it is showing a lack of compassion to a dying person is not very good.

Watched a video of when Jade found out she had cancer on the Indian Big Brother.
It was quite moving, and even more so is that she will soon be forgotten about by many.
Perhaps it will encourage more people to get checked regularly as this case just shows how ones life can be turned upside down in an instant.

I feel sorry for anyone who has cancer. It is a terrible thing.
And TBH i have alot of respect for her because in her last few months she is trying to ensure her kids get the best life possible. And i her respect her for that.
This is the thing, people say she is racist but i don't think she is. I believe that she was just annoyed and was doing it for a bit of TV time. I don't think she is actually racist and she did not mean any of that.
