the problem with career mode leaderboards, the top players are all bowlers

i was in the top 20 as an all rounder, but now ive restarted as a pure batsmen im now about 400 odd.

i'm a batsman... last night i was number 76 on the xbox boards.

seeing that was even better than hearing my unborn baby's heartbeat for the first time, which i also did yesterday. (first baby blocker making his/her debut around the end of october.)

or maybe i just went "meh" and went to bed, because leaderboards are pointless.

Im up to 186 as of last night, a nice little 10,000 earn with a 65 man of the match effort for the Aussies in aT20I

I don't even know were I am on the career leaderboard, still on my first season.

I mainly play online, was 25th over all online last time I checked.

Some of the guys above me are real tools though, some of them have stats like played 100 games, won 90, and you would think they are genuine top players, but when you actually play them and they are on the verge of being defeated they quit.

My best one to date was a tight run chase in a game full of the usual bugs when the connections lagging.

He needed about 15 with one wicket in hand and 5 overs to get it .

Slowly working his way closer and closer towards the target.

I`ve now got 3 guys in the Top Twenty rankings on my "Avoid the Cheater List"

2 more to get.

I get a lbw shout in , its given ! And then he disconnected....
Magically (cause he is on my friends list) 6 seconds later he shows up again as online on PSN.

So has this now become the "pull the LAN cable when your last man is out and then giving it 2 seconds and pressing it back in game" ?

He tried to convince me that his router rebooted blah blah blah.

Should I mention he is in top twenty for Online Other.....

I now have 3 guys in Top 20 rankings on my "Avoid the Cheaters" List.

happened to me few times and when i request to continue the game they say after 1 hour and give own reasons, can't conclude whether they're really quitters. plz you PM those names it will save me at least couple of hours

Better still, make a "Name and Shame" quitter's thread listing the user and the platform (PSN or XBL). This way others can add to the list and quickly check if they are about to face a quitter.

This worked well in AC09 days as it helped me avoid quitters as I was about to play a match. You don't really want to spend hour and a half of your time and then seeing the person at the other end pull the cable at the end.

What the Game can also implement in this regard is to keep record of the amount of time a PSN ID has disconnected , and act accordingly . Decide on a reasonable amount that can be attributed to real life reasons , and anything past this threshold gets handled appropriately as BA see fit.

I have made another leaderboard thread yet to be approved. Its different from others. I thought as i post i get suggestions from you all and decide the final points. But it seems people arent interested in the leaderboards itself so it would be waste of time working on it. But if you all like it do tell me. Link is provided below :

I think he was trying to tell you in the nicest possible way that your idea is dumb. Don't think you've read the room on this one... Not too many people care about a "leaderboard" at all, let alone an "unofficial" one since by very definition of the concept any leaderboard that one would care about would be an official one, which most of the forum here don't really care about that much, mostly because, leaderboard = stoopid ...and that's down to the online one hijacking a few things in the game unnecessarily, really.

If I wanted to be top of any unofficial leaderboard it would be "best cricket player in the world, evah" and thankfully, I've just created one where that's the case:

1) Biggs
2) People posting after me

Thus is the flaw in any "unofficial" leaderboard, ergo; dumb.

...as the very concept of a leaderboard caters to the weirdly obsessed minority, I think most of knew where this leaderboard thing was headed a while ago and aren't losing sleep about it.

Well, I have a better way of expressinf the above point to some initiative even if you find it dumb.
Fm leaderboards are quite popular bcoz they are from career or stories thread.
And players are quite mature and not dumb to cheat and bring their name on top.
This is unoffcial itself meams its not a big thing. Just what you all are posting in seperate threads will come at one place. Anyways, I just wanted to know if you all are interested. And ingot the amswer.

I care if I can have a field set in a t20 that doesn't have a silly mid on and get dropped occasionally by mid off right now... Leaderboards are the least of anyone's concerns.
