The conditions weren't quite as friendly for batting on an '80s Chinnaswamy wicket, with most batters having to go through the long hard grind rather than play their shots. Jake Fraser-McGurk would have none of it though, bludgeoning his way to 43 off just 29 balls in a truly audacious display considering this was quite literally his first go in a 'legends' league featuring some of the greats of cricket. He could keep it up for only so long against the likes of Shaun Pollock, who eventually claimed him and finished with 4 for 35 off his 10 overs for the innings, inducing a middle-order collapse in the process that reduced TLC from 173/3 to 206/9. They did well to make it to 248 all things considered, courtesy of that man Shahid Afridi adding 42 off just 5.2 overs alongside Dale Steyn for the final wicket.

After having been reduced to 78/5 at one stage, victory appeared a long distance away for PlanetCricket whose top and middle-orders featuring the likes of Virender Sehwag, Adam Gilchrist, Sourav Ganguly, Brian Lara and Jacques Kallis imploded in the worst manner possible. But luckily they had capable batters to come all the way down to George Lohmann at No 10, and with some guidance from the talismanic Garry Sobers eventually prevailed by a solitary wicket. Sobers absorbed all the pressure from one end to finish unbeaten on 73 off 118 balls, also enabling someone like Kieron Pollard to go for his shots which he did with a game-changing 49 before being caught on the boundary just one short of a half-century.
