I didn't know he was. It doesn't state anywhere in my PM that my father was Theoden (I guess treva/p squared deliberately omitted it) and although I read about Theoden when he claimed on wiki, I didn't pay much attention to the fact that Eomer succeeded him in the novel.

It does. Aditya has been gunning for him since Day 2, without any logical reason whatsoever. He also cleared Tom, by just casually mentioning that he trusts him. It's a tactic many cops use, just leaving hints, without actually claiming to protect themselves.

Also, mafia either target power roles or good players. Aditya isn't the latter, and because of his constant gunning of Sachin, the mafia must have guessed he was the cop. Sach has also been reluctant to role-claim.

@Papa_Smurf - I roleblocked sachinfan98 last night and we still got a death and a poisoning. Assuming a mafia team of 4, godfather, poisoner and jailkeeper/role blocker plus MaD who is dead then he can't be mafia.

Aditya wasn't the cop. And you'll notice there's one major character that hasn't been claimed and Sachinfan is the only player not to claim, it should be pretty obvious...

I just googled Eomer and found him on the Lord of the Rings wiki, first line is:

?omer was the eighteenth King of Rohan,

I'm guessing this is exactly what Varun did when he was asked the specifics of his claim by barmyarmy, since I already feel Eomer is a weaker claim than Theoden.

I've been pretty suspicious of him since he said he had a "gut feeling" Highlander was town. Seems more likely to me he was trying to defend him knowing he would come up town and put himself in the clear.

This is the battle of Minas Tirith, meaning both my character Theoden & Denethor must still be alive. Therefore, Varun's PM'd role as 'King of Rohan' is premature.

Well it was pretty much a done deal that Highlander was going down at that point, with me and barmyarmy pushing against him the mafia didn't really have to do very much...

And from what we've seen so far, everything in this game has been based on the films and not the books (that Gothmog character wasn't even in the books) I'm pretty sure Eomer hardly appears after Theoden dies in the film and we definitely never seem him get crowned king.

I'd say there are two major characters unclaimed. Plus someone could be claiming a lesser character to cover up a power role.
