Losing points because of disconnections

Okay, I can understand losing these points say if you run away during a game. But it just completely doesn't make sense to me( or am I missing something here?) to lose points before the game even starts. It's happened to me several times now where when I select the type of match etc and then click next, the screen just kind of freezes for a couple of seconds, and then my game just shuts down and error reporting thing comes up. I don't know what causes this, but then when I go back online, it shows up as a disconnection and I lose points. I think this is just stupid because it shut down before the game even started so it shouldn't affect your ranking then. Maybe this is some problem with my computer or my file, but they should get rid of this system. Anyone knows the reason for this, and is it going to be same as this in ICC 2007?

ive experienced this and it is quite frustrating but i dont think there is much you cant do about it

What I want to know is why did they make it like this. I know you should lose points if you disconnect during a game, but why should you when you haven't even started a game.

And problem with me is my team is ranked in top 10, so every time I beat anyone decent in county, I'll get like 7-8 pts. But if I just get DC in one game, I lose like 40 points. I've been trying to get to number 4-5, but I've had like 7-8 disconnections this way since yesterday. :mad

It's surrey11pak

I have batsmen that are averaging 150 plus, 200 and easily beat Candas yesterday. Scored around 400 runs regularly against him even though his bowlers average just 10, and then the last game he was gonna lose, he just disconnected lol.

I made a thread earlier about one guy having these crazy batsmen, now I've managed to get them as well somehow lol.

I don't care about rankings too much, but it's still frustrating because I play like 4-5 games, and then one dc and I'm back to where I was before.
