I wouldnt be surprised if Sanjiv Goenka does the below 2 things:

1. Do a Preity Zinta- claim the team does not have enough local support and ask for a base change to Pune after 2 years

IPL should be a 8 teams affair only IMO, they extra 1 or 2 franchise never really turn up don't they?

The day until we have a complete reset of the franchise squads, there is no point in having extra franchises with claims that they will be competitive. Lucknow and Ahmedabad were incredibly lucky that three world class players of the highest quality happened to all quarrel with their respective franchises and that they were able to snap up at least two of them. If not, how are they supposed to compete with others who get to retain up to four of their crème de la crème?

Actually, Preity and Ness Wadia did ask the board to give them either of Pune or Indore. Seems the request was kept on hold, as the BCCI wanted to deal with the new franchisees.

This isnt the 1st time PBKs have asked for a base change. They did so when RR and CSK were banned too.
