Madhu's adjudged as the best UK restaurant

LONDON: Leading Indian restaurant Madhu's has been adjudged as the 'Best UK Restaurant' at the 2004 Cobra Good Curry Guide Awards here on Tuesday night.
Sanjay Anand, managing director of Madhu's was presented with the award by Sir Gulam Noon, MBE.
Madhu's, also renowned as the top Asian outdoor caterer in the UK, is recognized for its Punjabi cuisine with a wonderful Kenyan Asian twist. Sanjay started the business as a 17-year-old, who enlisted his mother as head chef in the 36-seat restaurant.
Today, Madhu's in Middlesex, is a two level restaurant that attracts gourmet diners and celebrities from across London.
Over 600 distinguished guests including Lord Swraj Paul, NRI industrialist, Baroness Flather, Lord Taylor of Warwick, and Dr Raj Persuad attended the awards event held at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
