Manic game speed

Sorry guys if there's a post or thread that covers this already, but I need to get it sorted ..... I had Cricket 2004 on ps2, but play mainly on my pc. I got the game for the pc today for a tenner and installed it but when i try and play it, it is running at a thousand miles an hour - its like its on fast forward : the commentary is fine but the game speed is just mad!!! i had this problem once before with EA fifa 2005. what is the problem? does anyone know?? i'm running it on a laptop, but a top range one that supports every new game that comes out, so i stumped......

you can extract it anywhere jus put it on before u start c2004.
