Mar 24 - Australia v India (Quarter-Final 2)

I wished the match would have been started by now. Just to go over with this tension building up.

Also the police really needs to be prepared there. I can imagine that riots could erupt if India loses this match. And not only in Mohali.

I wished Bucknor would be the umpire here. :yes

In fact, Kohli is a player who need the most time to settle down. He is not a natural slogger. Once he builds his innings, he has the ability to carry on. But sending him after no.4 makes him useless.

Do you think that a natural slogger doesn't need much time to settle down? Rotating the strike is a thing that is most important for a 1st down batsmen. Suppose, if the first wicket of the Indian team falls for 0 and Kohli comes in to bat. Do you expect him to slog straight away or you expect him to rotate the strike? At 1st down, we need a player who is technically good and can play his normal innings when the wickets are falling at the other end. That's not what I have seen Gambhir do, he changes his game when the wickets are falling at the other end. He either gets defensive or attacking. He really ever rotates the strike when the team is under pressure, that is when he bats at 1st down. When he bats as a opener he is a much better player because this position suits him.

What's the point, we already have two best openers a team can get. Gamby have to bat at no.3.

I haven't read anywhere yet, that Sehwag is going to final. But seeing the set up of this quarter-final I am pretty that India is going to risk him.

Not at 3 he has to bat at 4 because Kohli is the best player at the moment in the team to bat at 3.

I think they can be used at 3 according to different situations, if India lose early wicket they could play Gambhir at 3, he wont let the pressure build up as he can be aggressive too. Kohli can come in if we have got a good solid start.

I guess I didn't express myself clearly. All I meant was that Kohli should NOT be shifted down the order. As far as playing at no. 3 is concerned, Gambhir is my man, simply because playing at no.4 would be alien to him and we may as well not play him. So Gambhir at 3 and Kohli at 4 is my choice.

Hope DHoni doesn't change batting order, let it be as it is. Yusuf should come at no. 6 or 7 only. No chance for Raina for this game as he can't play bouncy stuffs. :thumbs All the best TEAM INDIA !!!
