Hey mate i had a go @ it. tell me how it is.

a couple of questions. how do u use the brushes? anytime i use the brushes i just mess up the whole picture! it doesnt come out like yours. those lines and stuff in the background are brushes right? and also the text.what text is this that u using and how do u get the text effects like the line on it and stuff.

Good sig that. The 'line around the text' that you are referring to is obtained by going to 'Blending Options' on your text layer and applying 'Stroke' to it.

ok and can u tell me how to use the brushes? when i use it i just spoil the pic

I can't really give any tips, other than make sure you create a new layer for each brush so that you can delete them or lower opacity if you mess up.

another noob question here matt, in your sig once you did pixelate you put another layer over it, when i do that you cant see any change, do i have to save what i had already done beofre i put the layer on it?

Are you definitely sure that the new layer is placed above every other layer?

i dont know, i go filter > new layer> then i do the colour and overlay and click ok but there is no change
