Yes, Chennai needed a Mumbai win to qualify for the CLT20 and also get two shots at making it to the final (the 2nd shot if they require it, will be in their home ground Chennai)

That was just awesome, I loved it. I was like FO Mumbai, you're not gonna do anything of note and deserve to be out of the competition in the playoffs, they still are but that final 2 overs made my day and next day too.

Ambati Rayudu's last ball six reminded me Javed Miadad's six off Chetan Sharma on the last ball. Outstanding Rayudu.

We have found a new hero in James Franklin for his awesome all-rounding performance. He has proved that we just don't have pollard and sachin to win the game. They can also give the team unexpected win.

He has done everything that he needs to do - bat well, captain well. He was the one who led India to the WC final win. He has now again hit hot form in this IPL after a shaky start. He has luck, but he makes his own.

Oh come on! You should have done better than that. Even in that penultimate Brett Lee over when it looked impossible for MI, I thought they could win it (not just for Chennai, but because I thought Franklin was connecting it so well for most balls and he was just finding fielders till then). Rayudu should have come in earlier. Pollard most often fails to deliver. Rayudu is amazing! He is a sure India prospect and needs chances ASAP

@all CSK fans - Congrats for making to CL but why depending on other teams when your team can make themselves to CL by winning matches. That's not a right spirit . Same goes for KKR fans when Punjab was alive in competition, they were hoping for KXI to lose, not KKR to win.

It happens for every team who are in contention for a play-off spot. You need to depend on other results.
