India Announce Squad For The Upcoming Australian Series

Team India is all set to travel down under for a 3 match test series and 5 match one day series. Last time India played Australia in Australia was in 2008.The Test Series was a whole of controversies and saw cricket in it's worst form. Australia won the test series by 2-1 but many say that it was Kumble and his boys who deserved to win the test series. Game at Sydney saw great amount of wrong decision's taken by umpire Steve Buckner.

BCCI Announced the 15 Men Touring Squad for the test series. Names Like Murli Vijay , Manish Pandey were present in the squad. Selectors were looking for a new spin bowler for which they selected S.Jakati.

This tour is all set to bring in some player's who were waiting for a long time to come back to the side.Irfan Pathan was one such name. Irfan Pathan was dropped from the side after failure in the ICC T20 World Cup in 2009 in England. He performed brilliantly in the domestic structure and earned his place back in the side. Inclusion of Parthiv Patel was obvious after his tons and tons of runs in this year's Domestic circuit. Dinesh Kartik did nothing wrong but selectors needed some change in the side keeping sight the 2011 World Cup.Sudeep Tyagi was alsoin the squad after touring few countries before, Will he play or not is not decided but definitely he will be warming the bench. Surprise and Shocked inclusion of Manish Pandey raised question on the selection committee. S.Badrinath was the obvious choice for Yuvraj's replacement, but selectors proved everyone wrong by selecting Manish Pandey in the Squad.

Indian Cricket Team Reach Australia

Indian Cricket was seen signing autographs on thier arrival in the Aussie Land. Sachin Tendulkar who will be playing in his last Down Under Tour was seen enthusiastic about playing and said " Well this year i have quite a few away series and would like to do the best as i do not know will i be able to play another series or not. Well whatever it is we are here to give our 100 percent."

Mahendra Singh Dhoni said " Boys are looking forward to this series, We won the last CB Series and lost the test series by very less margin, We would like to Dominate the test series and the One Day Series."

Fans came in huge number's to welcome thier side once again, They too where very excited. One of the Fan Prithviraj said " Well i am pretty happy with both the boards for arranging this tour and am dying to see both the teams clash out once again"

Yes indeed it was a great match to watch. Indian's were not in the best of thier form but managed to win the match with some good wicket's on this australian bouncy tracks.In 1st Inning's India managed to post 318 on board after some good batting by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virender Sehwag. Indian's Playing XI included two Full time wicket keepers MSDhoni and Parthiv Patel. Manish Pandey was also given a chance in this match. Parthiv Patel did not score as he would have liked but made 38 and 31 and could not convert them to a big score. He looked good and solid in technique but Nannes who took his wicket in both the matches got better of him. It was a great contest between Nannes and Parthiv Patel. Patel used to hit him over the field for boundries and Nannes in turn bowled some good deliveries. Australia is yet to announce thier Squad and will be done today. Nannes should be given a chance in the team. Manish Pandey was another batsman who being opener batted in the middle order. He to scored some runs in this match but like Patel could not carry on. He scored 28 and 38 in both the innings. Now coming on the bowling from Indians, Irfan Pathan showed his all rounc talent and scored 50+ runs in the match and took 5 wicket's. That is what you want from you all rounder. Sreesanth bowled some great line and length. It will be intresting to see whom Indians play for the second warm up match against the Victorian Bushranger's before they start their Australian Tour

India's Practice Not Upto The Mark - Mark Waugh

Yes, reader's you have read it right. Mark Waugh the former Australian said that India got 2 warm up matches against the Victorian Bushranger's and Indian Team should not be pleased with the way they have performed. Although they have both thier games but the pracitce was not upto the mark.

This match saw with the full bowling lineup changed for the indian side. Zaheer Khan,Sreesanth,Harbhajan Singh were replaced by S.Tyagi,Ishant Sharma and S.Jakati. Rahul Dravid was also given rest and Murli Vijay took his place.Indians experimented and thier batting did not get the benefit as when Victorian's posted moderate 242 runs in 1st innings and reply to it India's got allout on 191. Again Parthiv Patel and Manish Pandey got start but could not convert it into big. Pathiv Patel scored a fighting 39 runs not out. The two 'S' that is Sudeep Tyagi and S.Jakati took 3 wickets each in 1st innings.2nd Innings the Bushranger's Scored 279 with the previous 49 runs lead. This inning again saw some good bowling by Sudeep Tyagi and S.Jakati. They took 7 wickets all together. V.Sehwag blasted at top of the order with 102 in just 126 deliveries.Although Indian Middle Order collapsed little bit but Dhoni made sure that he takes his side to Victory with unbeaten 54 runs hitting 11 fours and 1 six that is 50 runs in boundary.
