well, he got banned for life so... no point in announcing his retirement really..

Yousuf could finally bid the game goodbye. Again.

While this may not be directly related to ipl, it is the advent of T20 cricket that saw the beginning of the end of mohammad yousuf. Today, there are rumours that Yousuf may announce his retirement from cricket. It was in the icc World T20 in 2007 that Yousuf had not been selected and he promptly announced his retirement from Pakistani cricket and joined the ICL. That was in a matter of great haste that he did that and later repented the decision as the IPL was started. He tried to come back to the fold but was taken to court by the ICL, which left him with no option but to return back to ICL. Then, the ICL folded, which allowed him to return to the international fold but by then the Indo-Pak ties had deteriorated enough to not allow him a chance at IPL. Around an year on, he was found guilty by the PCB of making it difficult for his team-mates and banned by them. A life-ban that is! With no real chance of making a comeback, Yousuf will now look to end his playing career, and probably try to make the most of his league playing career. Even try his hand at coaching. Just hoping that he does not become a fielding coach though

Bunch of drama queens.

I won't be surprised if he comes back for the test series in England.

It's really sad his career had to end the way it did, probably one of the greatest batsmen to ever play for Pakistan the only batsmen to have an all time record. Most runs scored in a season.

Well he was banned for life by the PCB so I had a feelng this was going to happen.
He was the best test batsmen for Pakistan, wasn't a good way to end his career :(

Well Younis Khan is 32 years old so he still got about 3 years in him..if PCB let him back in the team.

yeah, he can back any time. Even though he is banned for whole life but he has been banned by PCB so he will back in few months.

Banned for whole life? Ijaz Butt didnt say anything like that. or did he? Infact he said they will play in the upcoming England tour.

when the new pcb management comes in.. the bans will be revoked and the players will be able to come back into the side. Yousuf was at the end of his career so he might not have lasted the term of this PCB Mgmt.... however, he has changed his decisions in the past so many times (the ICL fiasco) that you can't rule him out even if he is retired.....

but the best thing will be to retire when the public will be symphatetic with him... atleast he will have some legacy to cling on to....
