I just love the random conversations, great work with the update. Its time to see whether Einstein here, can bat as well as he can bowl

So lets go!

Well that was probably the worst and weirdest breakfast i'd ever had, besides that time I ate that frog, but still, that was one stupid breakfast. I swear, all these guys eat it is meat, don't they have any proper food? Who the hell has pigs for breakfast, that's just silly! And all these guys are so buff looking and built, this is one weird training academy. Good thing i've lost Barry, ran away, told him I was goin to the toilet, that fool!

Napoleon!
Ahhh!
What?
Where the hell did you come from?
I was just walkin behind you
All that time?
Yes
Dude, I know you're like all happy n friendly n all but...
You're breakin up with me?
I was never with you!
But we're friends :(
Oh boy...
Oh look, here come our Coach, better be quiet now
What his name?
Nobody knows, he's never told anyone, we all call him Coach, scares the ballz outta me
You have no ballz
Yeah, but still
You're admittin you have no ballz?
Be quiet!
You be quiet
Shhhh, he's talkin

Hello lads!
Hey Coach!
Hoping we all had some fantastic holidays, coz you're all gonna die now! Just kiddin, I hope you've all given a warm welcome to our new recruits, welcome to the Newbies! Now I want y'all to your rooms and geared up, we're gonna begin with a little practice match, no score or anythin, just a practice match to test out our new lads, so everyone get ready and we'll meet at the oval at 2, good luck!

Hmmmm, that's pretty good I guess. An early chance to check out the level I gotta be at, these guys look pretty good, half 'o them are probably wimps anyway, it couldn't be that hard? Hopefully it's not as tough as gettin Barry off my back, this guy just won't bug off!

Oi Einstein
Hey Todd
Don't underestimate us, this ain't no Mickey Mouse Cricket like they play in your hole, this is some serious s**t
Yeah, thanks for the heads up, so ho--

But before I got a chance to finish, he walked off, this was one weird guy, he didn't like to talk much, broke the rules, was a top class cricketer, I couldn't imagine him playin internationally, I mean, what kind of a role model would he be? This was gonna be a loooong journey, but now i'm here, England, what the heck aye, let's go for the kill!

i would prefer if napoleon scores big here, it'll be the opposite of what everyone's thinking. and get use to that bland masala-less food napoleon :laugh

Why are you going for breakfast without washing clothes properly  :p More clothes you wash, more strength you will gain in forearms. Still, an indirect way of coaching! :D

He sure is finding it tough with the crappy food he gets, don't blame him tbh

Napoleon doesn't change his clothes much :D

Napoleon will be going to practice hard... now, wasn't Napoleon injured or something?

Trainin... British Style

A trainin session, just a normal ol' training session, how hard could it be, right? It was just training! I was nervous, pretty damn nervous, no idea why, but I was nervous. Some great British names came from this academy, Collingwood, Cook and Trott are the main ones that spring into mind. This was a high class academy and I was here, me... little Napoleon, dreaming big.

Alright lads, 12 laps around the oval

12 laps? what did he mean by that, run around 12-- OH MY GOD! 12 freakin laps around the whole freakin oval, this was hard already. I hated jogging, absolutely hated it, now I looked pretty fit from the outside, but i'm no endurance specialist.

Hey Napoleon!
Great
I know aye?
What?
It's great?
No I was sayin-- forget it
What
Nothin
Don't you just love the smell of Britian in the mornin
You know what, it is pretty good
Well it ain't gonna be very jolly at the end of this run
Why so?
Jeez you're stupid!
I'm stupid?
Yes! You're gonna be all sweaty and you know whatever
Whatever, jog on Barry
Nah i'll stick with you
Thanks
No problem

I'd seen some pretty stupid people, I was indian after all, but this guy topped the list, and i'd only know him for a day or two.

It was a long, hard, rough journey around the oval, but I did it, 12 runs around the oval! The only problem was, I got overlapped by a few people, I wasn't good at this, I was just learnin, a newbie after all, but the thing was, all the other guys beat me too, I could see, the coach took note of me. Barry was right, it din't smell so good, I was pretty puffed out and I knew it was gonna take me longer to settle in.

Alright ladies, it's time to get in the nets! We got 10 of em, 2 of the batting newbies in 2 and go rotate in the next 8, go, go ,go

I figured he was referring to me and the other new batsman, Jamie I think it was. I had a little chat with him earlier, he told me he came from Scotland, couldn't really understand half the things he said to me but he seemed like a pretty nice guy.

Ready?
Sure

I figured the guy din't know my name, I knew his though, I was tryin to get everyone's name in my memory, it was Dana Suttcliffe, the guy looked tough, I thought he'd be a fast bowler, but right now, he looked more like an off spinner. I got ready to tonk him, but I knew I shouldn't so decided to block the first ball. It was better than i'd expected. He seemed to be one of those lower spinners, never bowlin it too high, I couldn't get height onto the ball, so I decided to try 'n hit 'em down the ground.

The other bowler bowlin in my net was Jackson, another newbie, I din't expect much from him, he had fair pace, although I wouldn't call him a medium pacer, a few shots here and there before I settled in, to really lift my game. Dana came in with a surprising ball, seemed like a typical off spinna, but it wasn't something Dana hadn't done yet, I wasn't ready for it, attempted a sweep but realised I was way off course and bam! Middle stump

Time was flyin and I decided to get on with the game, it was almost time to rotate bowlers and I decided to take a little advantage, I couldn't find the coach but I decided to go on with the kill. I pretty much knew how Jackson bowled now, a yorker now and then, maybe a full toss, all his balls were full and I knew what to do. Smash, bang, whallop, down the the ground, 6 to the offside, I knew he was gettin stressed out, why wouldn't he be?

As Dana came in, I decided to give him the same treatment, but he was experienced, knew what to do at a stage like this. He completely changed his game plan and began to loft the ball higher, there wasn't much to do but attack! I could see a lower ball comin and I knew it'd spin onto the stumps, I switched hands and attempted to do a reverse sweep, after all this was just practice, but it turned out to fail pretty bad...

It was time for the bowling to rotate, the coach came and stood near my net, it was time to be judged, after playin some pretty feisty shots, I wanted to continue, but I knew I had to concentrate now. 2 new bowlers, Alex Hagan and Jeremy Taylor, they were both fast pacers, I decided to take advantage, but not yet. It was time to settle in, a few shots here and there, but nothin to big, I was playin with caution. After a few deliveries, I decided to get in there and ram in deep, smashing the balls high to the sides, the bowlers were gettin pretty stressed out.

Jeremy decided to change his game plan and began bowlin short balls, he probably didn't know, but I found them pretty hard to play. I could never figure out where they were goin to go, makin it tough for me to plan my shots, after Jeremy figured it out, he knew what to do. Bowled a few short and a few full, it made it impossible for me to predict the line and plan my shots. I attempted to leave the ball coz it looked pretty wide but it swung all the way in and I knew it was plumb, he smiled off.

Alex wanted to adopt to the same plan but it was like they were workin as a team, which was great, just not for me. Alex would slow his balls down and bowl full, followed by Jeremy who'd give it his best pace and make it short, they were playin with me, I knew it, the coach knew and so did they, I tried to get a few shots in, now and then, it was all pretty good, I was tryin to concentrate as much as I could, this was no time for me to get out. I knew I had to crack eventually, and I did, not the best results, clean bowled by Jeremy.

Alright boys, that's enough for today, pack up. We'll all talk after dinner, everybody be at the hall in 2 hours!

So that was the end, I wasn't to worried, it wasn't that bad, I did get out now and then but the shots were in pretty regularly, tryin new things, din't always work out well but it was all good.
