Nanis got potential, a Chelsea scout whe we signed him said he could be as good as Ronaldo and he said the reason Chelsea didn't sign him was because he was too much like Ronny was a couple of years ago iirc. Then he realised what a dumb statement that was and spent the following weeks going back on it

What an idiot! Bit like the twit who turned The Beatles away because he thought they had nothing going for them! Ooops!!

Ronaldo is an amazing player and will only get better. Nani has his work cut out to be half as good as him. But Nani is very young and inexperienced in English football, so I will not judge him until he's been around a few seasons.

At the moment this comparison shouldn't be made. Wait till Nani has played about 3 seasons in the Prem, then see if he is, or can be as good as Ronaldo.

Nani wasn't all that at sporting lisbon, he was very good but I wouldn't rate him as high as Ronaldo. I would Rate Anderson who also came from Portugal(Porto) higher than Nani as he was better in portugal.

Ronaldo is by far the better of the two. At this moment in time, i'd rather have Arteta, Rosicky or SWP in my squad over Nani. I'm not saying Nani is a bad player because of course he's not, he's just unproven.

I wouldn't have SWP, needs confidence. Rosicky though is an interesting choice as he has been in great from imo and has proven himself ever since being at Arsenal after having a succesful career. Then we move on to Arteta who is one of my favourite al time players and I would have Arteta over the other two and I think Arteta is better than Nani but not as good as Cristiano Ronaldo.

Nani only played for 2 seasons at Sporting. A lot of his appearances came off the bench so He's never going to be all that having played that little but in the small amount of time he's had there he's obviously doing something right to warrant a bid from fergie. United never needed a proven player, a lot like with Ronaldo chances are we would have liked to have waited but we could get him a lot cheaper or it's just easier to get him buy bidding now. Giggs is still first choice so Nanis miles behind Ronaldo, Ronaldo's one of the best players in the world so comparing him with Nani is a little strange. Can you please explain how Anderson was better in Portugal? He had come from Brazil but he played 18 times for Porto scoring twice and had a broken leg last year.

When Anderson was at Porto, the two years he was there were the two years that Porto won the league. He also won the Taça de Portugal and theSuperCup Cândido de Oliveira in Portugal. Also he wasn't a prolific goalscorer as you said he was injured quite badly but showed so much more promise, imo. U-17 World Championships Golden Ball winner in 2005 for Brazil U17 and also won the Copa América last year. Also whilst at Gremio he scored the goal which but them back into Seria A which made them win Campeonato Brasileiro Série B . Now onto Nani who played 58 games for Sporting CP and scored 9 goals and he may of also won the Taça de Portugal which meant that Porto couldn't of held it. I know I have gone off a bit but I still think Anderson has more promise than Nani and is better currently although I would play Giggs and Ronaldo for United
