I'd just consider it in terms of the value you get performance wise - I only took a brief glance at some benchmarks of ones at similar prices, and to get one that's Haswell you're probably getting something that's slightly slower overall just because it's newer and the prices are closer to RRP. It's only on laptops where power consumption matters significantly where I'd think of taking a performance hit to get Haswell.
That said, Amazon's search results are pretty terrible and irrelevant, so I might have missed a better price/performance combination.
Ah, turns out that model doesn't have WiFi - basically all the 'P8Z77-V' models do except the one I linked to. This one does but is a bit more expensive, it's might be easier to get a lower spec motherboard and add a PCI-E wireless card.
Yeah, I reckon that's the way to go. That way I can go ahead and get the WiFi card now, and I'll be able to add it to the new mobo when I get that. There are loads of really good looking mobos around for less than ?100; I'll probably just go ahead and stick with Gigabyte as the one I have now has given me no problems at all over the many years I've had it.
