With NZ's tour in Zimbabwe comming up I decided to do my first tour thingee on here. Ill be playing all the matches on Medium difficulty for 2 reasons. The main one is I havn't had the game long yet and im still not really good enough for hard. Second is that Zimbabwe is more of a mkedium sort of side as opposed to hard. So I will be playing as New Zealand of course.

Ill play a practice one day game against Namibia (which im going to start right now), 2 tests and 6 ODI's like what is scheduled and a final if necessary as scheduled. All games will have to be at Harare.

For the International tests and ODI's I will make the NZ team the same as that which plays. For the Zim team though I don't think I will be able to change the computer team, I don't think its possible.

Will be back with details soon. Im too lazy to do any commentary or press conferance stuff for now. Ill just post pics, results etc.

I'll be looking forward to this, and by the way is Shane Bond going to play? Cuz I'm not sure in real life if he's recovered from his back injuiry. Any news?

Yup he has recovered. http://www.planetcricket.org/forums/showthread.php?t=12719 is the thread about the NZ-ZIM tour I posted how Bond did in the real warm up game against Namibia which was played yesterday. He took 2-16 if 5 overs which is a good sign.

As for the fake series on Cricket 2005.

Fleming won the toss for New Zealand and elected to field. The pitch was very bowler friendly.

Second ball of the innings and Bond struck with an LBW against M.Karg which features as picture 1. The ball moved off the pitch and the batsman left it.

Bond ended up taking 4 wickets for 9 runs off 8.1 overs. A fantastic performance by him. The best bowling figures of the day. Vettori and Martin took 2 a piece and Oram took 1. A.Burger was run out foolishly on 9. Namibia's top scoring batsman was B.Van Rooi who scored 25no after a few edges going over or through the slips.

Namibia only scored 73-all out. Should be an easy chase for New Zealand.

Vincent and H Marshall came in to open the batting. Although Marshall doesnt open the batting I diddnp;t have Cumming in my squad and don't like him anyway so I put in McMillan instead and moved Marshall into the opening position. Vincent played very defensively until he played a mistimed leg glance and was caught. Fleming and Marshall had a nice partnership going until they decided enough was enough and attacked the spinner. Marshall ended up being bowled by one which moved and Astle ended up being bowled by totally missing the ball after comming in and smashing 3 sixes off 6 balls.

Result: New Zealand win by 8 wickets.

NZ Squad for 2 Test Matches:

New Zealand:

S Fleming (C)
D Vettori
N Astle
S Bond
C Cumming
J Franklin
H Marshall
J Marshall
C Martin
B McCullum (WK)
K Mills
J Oram
S Styris
L Vincent
P Wiseman

good luck mate I suggests that you use the stronger side of Zimbabwe such as

Andy flower
grant flower
heath streak

would you plea

Ill play against whatever team the computer puts. I don't think the game has the flowers unfortonatly. I am considering using either a patch or amping it up to hard mode for the tests though. Otherwise Zimbabwe might go as bad as Namibia which would be boring.

Im getting the test underway now that the NZ 12 got named. There is no franklin on the game so I picked Mills instead who is probably going to be 12th man for the 1st test in real life but no real problems.

When I print screened the NZ lineup unfortonatly is diddnt come out with it on for some reason. Vincent, J Marshall, H Marshall, Fleming, Styris, Astle, McCullum, Vettori, Mills, Bond, Martin (in batting lineup)

Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to Bat. Which was strange considering the Overcast conditions. Lets see if NZ can make good use of the swing.

Bond and Martin to open the bowling.
