Wow,they did send us packing alright.:laugh
Another disappointing end to a disappointing season.
We thought we had a strong squad but the players just didn't pull their socks up when they needed to and didn't really deserve a spot in the finals.
I'd like to thank Michael Hussey, Paul Collingwood and Ian Butler for being a part of the squad for all the five seasons despite disappointing results more often than not.
We'll be having a fresh auction after this season.So,we can start afresh and approach the next season with some positive energy and hope.

They were the players that had to be rested in the last two rounds, but I rested them for you last round, so all your players can play this round.
Pretty much just ignore them.

Damn it, this puts us in some mess now considering that we have to win our final game without Bond to ensure the top spot. The batsmen did a decent job but the bowlers should have done much better and put some pressure on the Warriors.

I'll be posting round 10 tomorrow, but then I'm going away for a week so the play-offs won't be for another eight or nine days from now.

I'm planning to do something between the end of NZPL season five and the beginning of NZPL season six, kind of like what bcvs does with the WPL.
It just seems pretty repetitive ATM, and I need a bit of a break before season six.
It will also give me some more time to think of some original things to include in season six, and give as a fresh start for the new teams.

The idea I have is pretty original, so I don't really want to give anything away until I make it official.
Like the NZPL it will also be based around New Zealand cricket (of course), but rather than being a manager you guys will be players.
I won't be releasing anymore details on it, until the conclusion of NZPL season five.

I think it's actually going to be a mixture of both.
ATM I'm still planning it out, so I can't really confirm anything.
Either way it'll just be something to break up season five and season six, it's not going to replace the NZPL.

Just looking at it now, I think I'll give you the option whether you want to manage your team or not.

I've had several "other" ideas since I've been managing the NZPL, but I feel the best about this one as it came to me a few days ago, and since I'm on holiday ATM I've been able to plan it out without having to worry about school.

May be bring the T20 tournament back as well.

If there's interest in one I'll bring it back for season six, because PCCS is now up and running.
