Why?
Because they were eliminated in different rounds, Chewie made it to the prelims, the other team didn't get past the semis?
Fair enough, but that's very similar to saying that there's no point in a Grand Final, as Canterbury have already beaten Otago in the play-offs, just like Waikato have already beaten BOP in the play-offs.
The funny thing is EVERY season I've asked everyone if they're happy with the play-off format, and everyone's said yes, but EVERY time it comes to the play-offs people start complaining about the format. I'm not just making this up, the last four seasons at least one persons been unhappy with the play-off format, yet before the season started the said the were happy.
Since Rahul isn't active at all, I'll just call off the third place play-off and say Waikato are third, and BOP are fourth, therefore I'm just waiting on the line-ups for the grand final.
In the future it would be good if some managers could come forward with these problems when I ask if there are any, if someone had said that when I announced the play-off format, I would of gone good point and just taken it away straight away, anyway it doesn't really matter so I'll just can it now.
Sorry about that rant, I hope most of you are happy with the result.

I think this method is the best one, but there is no need for a third/fourth playoff, as the loser of the minor semifinal is the fourth placed team. They're the first team knocked out from the play offs and so get the fourth place.

Yess! Pretty pleased with the win there as both the bowlers and the batsmen responded. The target was competitive as most of the bowlers chipped in with the wickets. Vincent stepped up with the bat after having an ordinary season. Clarke played a mature role with him and AB came to finish it off.
