Pleasing win. The spinners tied them up pretty well Afridi sparked an inspirational collapse in the middle order and Nathan McCullum came to finish the job. Stumbled in our batting, but Hussey guided us beautifully in the end. Top spot is the aim.

What a comeback from us - the last two group matches.
Sehwag's coming back to form has been crucial in both these wins. Strauss was amazing with his 98.
Styris was brilliant as always, and Woodcock was great too.

Since I'm not posting any matches tonight, I might as well post something else, and that is announcing that next season there will be nine teams.
The new team will be called the West Coast Miners, in remembrance of the 29 miners who died in New Zealand's worst disaster in 31 years, the Pike River mine explosion.
Since the West Coast don't have any cricket grounds up to NZPL standard, they will play their five home games in five other regions throughout New Zealand that don't have a NZPL team, including Northland, Gisborne, Taranaki, Nelson and Southland.
The new format for next season will be three conferences of three teams, North, Central and South. Each team will verse the other two teams in their conference twice, and the six teams not in their conference once, so there will still be ten rounds.
As usual I'll be trying out a new player transfer system. This one should enable the new team to be competitive, without having a full reshuffle. Don't worry, it won't be anywhere near as complicated as last season.
Assuming all the current managers stay on next season, Dipak will get the new team. If one of the current managers isn't staying on, I'll probably give their team to Dipak, and give the new team to Iridium, as it'll be harder with the new team, and I assume Iridium has a greater knowledge of New Zealand domestic cricket.

That sounds very good.
The transfer system last season was pretty good.Hope we get to retain most of our players as it takes a few seasons to build a collective unit.
