Newb Questions

I have done a bit of searching and could not find answers to a couple of questions that I have as a new player.

1. Is there a way to see a player's attributes during a match? I can not seem to see a players bowling and batting attributes when selecting them to bowl or bat during match. The only place I can seem to find these details is in Cricket Academy. Am I missing something?

2. Is there a good tutorial on how to use Classic controls somewhere that goes into a little more depth then the in game one? For instance does the right stick during batting just related to shot placement or shot type? And if its shot type what shot type is mapped to what direction?

Any feedback would be welcome. Thank you

1. When you choose your bowler or batting lineup in match you can see ratings, batting averages and strike rates but that is all I believe

2. The right-stick controls shot direction and therefore shot type for instance if you aim past the bowler you will play a straight drive, not a sweep

Anyone able to time un-orthodox shots? I’m batting on Veteran/hard:facepalm

Any specific shot?
All of them lol. The best timing I get is just before the bowler release the ball, but still not making contact with it. Oh and I’m talking about fast bowlers. I’m ok with sweep and reverse sweep

I suggest going in to a net session and set it to bowl at the right areas. How to you play before the ball is bowled, as surely anything could be bowled ie. you can’t sweep a bouncer?

Sorry I wasn’t too specific. I’m ok with spin bowlers but can not play un-orthodox shots against fast/medium bowlers. It’s not a gamebreaker for me but would love to include those shots when playing T20 or Odi. Especially the shots behind square that I’m having trouble with. Ramp and scoop is what I’m talking about.

Potentially play a custom 5 over match and just practice your ramps and scoops
