No Disk Inserted

Error -

No Disk Inserted.
Please insert the original "Ashes Cricket 2009" CD/DVD.

One of my friend is getting this error every time he tries to run the game. He has purchased the original DVD. The game runs once he inserts the DVD. But has to do it every time he wants to play.

However, mine does not ask for a DVD. What can be the issue guys? Any clue?

Was the disk left in the drive earlier?
If yes, remove the disk and restart the PC.
Try now.
It happened with me sometimes,hopefully it works.

Maybe he was conned into buying a fake DVD and he does not even realize it?

I also had same issue despite of buying orginal copy : then it asked for some authentication and an update was required form the codies, which i did. After then the problem was solved

Errr… the game needs the cd to start doesn't it? Correct me if I am wrong.

Exactly.. is it not necessary to have the DVD EVERY TIME in the tray to start the game?

Can we get rid of this? What updates are you talking about WC?

I always need the disk to start the game

if u bought game off steam with no cd/dvd then u dont need the cd/dvd(dozent work with beta patches)

if u bought a cd/dvd version u need cd/dvd to play(works with beta patches)

or if u a pirate u need no cd/dvd(dozent work with beta patches)
