Hopefully the swing, bounce and cut will be heavily toned down and seam movement introduced.
I would also like less wreckless use of hawkeye and more innovative usage of the technology.
They have to live up to the wicked edges in EA and the nice pull, hook, cut shots in EA.
I would like a low cut shot like in TAOC and Cricket 2004 against spinners. It is a must have feature, IT IS ALISTAIR COOKS ONLY SHOT!.
Also the introduction of diving catches in real time, and if you miss the ideal place in the marker the fielder may miss the ball or drop the ball...the fielding system needs to advance heavily including stops, fumbles, overthrows, etc...because as soon as the fielding system comes up you know the ball will be stopped!!! THIS IS STUPID!
EA Cricket 2007 has a good bat pad system (although a bit too often against CPU) and the possibility of the batsman gloving the ball and getting caught, there is something about the heavily scripted nature of BLIC which makes me think this won't happen.
Top edges and uppish drives are also a must have, there was one for the sweep to leg slip in BLIC which was AMAZING but has only happened once. Hopefully also the batsman will show some effort when hitting a front foot leg side six hit. That being said; a powerful uppish (not higher than head height) mid wicket hit will be a welcome find.
I would like a simple stumping system like EA Cricket but yet still rapid stumpings seen in EA Cricket 2002. Since there is no stamina system I think there should be a very simple system: Fast bowlers detiorate after 5 overs, Fast medium and other pace bowlers after 8 and spinners after 15.
I heard somewhere that you can only advance down the pitch with full confidence, I hope to God this is not true.
Thats all for now
