Ditto that. You're blowing this totally out of proportion vishwa.
Personally I think the only reason that England stayed in India was to improve relations with India because they had been at quite a low ebb. I personally would have been out of there as soon as I could.

He did not want to go to India but had no issue going to Afganistan.
Brother, I feel insulted as an Indian to read comments like these from a cricketer as good as Freddie. Its just quite unbelievable man. People lost their lives. Our city was held to ransom and we know how we passed those days. And this man just made fun out of what was a great gesture by the English cricket team and the ECB. Shame on you Fred.
vishwa added 2 Minutes and 4 Seconds later...
Exactly man. Hypocritical ! I'd like to see Flintoff defenders' opinions on this !
He went to Afghanistan to give an award to people fighting out there who sacrifice their lives for our country. In the nicest possible way, he isn't Indian he shouldn't have had to risk his life cause your country was under attack by scum, just so the ECB can make some money and get themselves all chummy with the BCCI.

You're very lucky im not going to go mental here. He knew the risks going to afghanistan and was doing it out the good of his heart to go present an award to people who are quite frankly doing an amazing job for their country. Going back to india was going back to the unknown where anything could have happened and the risk had to be assessed.
We needed strong people like Flintoff to protect Indian players in case terrorist attacked.
