Lots of changes in Netherlands since the last World cup and good to see them firing this time round.
They must remember that they are in a tough group for the WC.Well who knows they can challenge the Aussies :D

Good win for Netherlands off the back of a good total. Canada did well to make it a competitive game.

Especially when you consider they're missing their captain (John Davison), vice-captain (Ian Billcliffe) and current New Zealand domestic player Geoff Barnett.

Why is it being played in South Africa?

Wouldnt it be better to play it in at least one of the competing countries to try and increase the profile?

For various reasons, the Netherlands wanted to play their Intercontinental Cup games against Bermuda and Canada out of their summer season. South Africa was chosen for the games, probably due to the Dutch history in the country, and they decided to play an ODI triangular between the three sides whilst they were there.

The other countries are all playing at various times.

Before the world cup, Scotland tour Bangladesh for two ODIs; Kenya, Canada and Scotland play a tri-series in Kenya, all six play the WCL Division One tournament in Kenya, Ireland play Bermuda in the UAE, Bermuda and Canada play a tri-series against Bangladesh in Antigua.

going well for the dutchies

better then expected anyway.
I lost hope in Dutch cricket a while ago, being heavly involved in it and all, but I have regained some hope, since a few unknown names(for me at the time anyway) like Borren came out of nowhere and performed well(and I can say he's a nice guy in the bargain ;) )
although Canada miss 3 big names, I still think its good that we beat them, and Bermuda we shouldnt lose!
i'd quiet like to know how Holland would cope against Ireland and Scotland these days, lose to Ireland...maybea tiny win over Scotland?

who knows?!

Not far off what happened back in August. The had a small defeat against Scotland, who won with a six from the penultimate ball, and would have lost to Ireland if they weren't rescued by the rain.
