Official Challenges Thread

I want to play Justin, not bothered where. What happens if, say, Everton challenge me? Which game happens?

EDIT - Sorry, just re-read the rules and it appears I should make a challenge as soon as possible.

There are still a couple of issues I can see:

- International friendlies cannot be made till tuesday, giving an advantage to those trying to challenge teams in their own country.
- If I were to make a challenge, and recieve one before mine was accepted, am I entitled to wait and hope mine will be accepted?

Just my luck that you get to destroy me first!

On your first point, with regards to how the rules are at the moment it's a flaw with battrick. The only reason it's a 'first-come-first-serve' is to encourage people to challenge rather than have people sit and wait for the best team/easiest game.

On your second point I suppose it would be fairest if after a challenge was made there would be a 2 day period after which you can look for an alternate game.

I'd like to give definate answers, but I'll be honest and say it's still slightly experimental as I don't know yet what will work the best. After a few weeks it should be pretty clear what works the best and the rules can be fine tuned accordingly.

How about a lottery? Each team gets to propose the fixture they want, then they come out of a hat. Adds a bit of luck in the good teams all charging up to the top of the league.

Thats a nice idea and would add a twist but for it to be fair would need everyone to submit a fixture in due time and then the lottery would have to be done to give ample time for sending a challenge.
