They go better with my clothes.
Plus, white are harder to maintain, especially in all the black snow and mud and such.

I'm with Culli on this one, once again, Black trainers are god awful, all trainers look much nicer in white, especially Lacoste ones. I was tempted by some Lacostes when i got my latest pair of K-Swiss Tounge Twisters, but they were way more uncomfortable than the Swiss's. The Swiss's just have loads of nice padding at the back of the shoe which just makes them awesome to wear. I might go for some Lacoste's next though, could probably do with some new trainers soon, i;ve had my current ones since the start of the summer.

Whereas with black shoes it looks as if you've bought them with the dump attached from new. At least with shoes you get a few days of them looking dump free .

Obviously not for every day use, but these are the sort of footy boots I want. Ive got a pair of Umbro SG's at the moment, new last month, played one game in them, in goal, made a save, cut my knee with the studs and damaged my ligaments

Turns out the cut wasnt the problem, it was the impact of the studs on the knee. It hurt, and the doctor said no sport for 6 weeks (this was 9th Jan) - I played cricket on Friday.
