Matt goes/went to my school. (Doesn't anymore as this was our final year)
Have only really talked to him a few times, not really mates or anything.

The article pretty much explains it, he was highly rated by most and was the best player in the NZ schools Aussie schools match, he could still do a bit of a SBW though, make a name for himself in league then switch back over to Union.

I missed the Aussie vs NZ schoolboys game but I saw the NZ warm up against Otago u19. If Matt McGahan is the one I think he was then he looked very impressive off the bench in that game. Hopefully Bellamy can train them up to be good Kiwis one day.

Australia are still the best though IMO, the gap is definately closing though.
When we can consistently beat them that's when we'll be the best, but for now I'm happy to support the team with all the silverware
