Will be doing some general artwork, not sigs or anything in particular, just doing some artwork. Will be following lots of tuts from the internet

don't do things like filter>grain etc. don't use the lights either. looks really bad to be honest. the effects you've used are not good

Right Guys forget what has happened in the past. I am in the middle of a TUT and am in need of some desperate help on colouring light. Can anyone help? please!

Create a new layer, get a soft brush (0% hardness) and brush where you want to. Set the layer to overlay .

The problem is though it still comes out as white and the colour I want! Which I have selected.

Make sure the colour you want is the foreground colour.

It is the foreground colour.

Yet it still comes out white?

Wrong brush tool seletced mate. Select the other brush 2 above that.

Nice background, the render could maybe have done with effects which didn't make it black and white but for all your troubles its great!!!

I'm liking the background but I dont like the desaturated render, maybe lower the opacity of the desaturated render.
