Firstly, I can see I'm walking into a trap here. I wonder how many people are going to moan at me for starting another story. Well the fact is, I cocked the other two up. So you get on with what you want to do without complaining about me, ok?

What has happened so far?

Norwich City
enjoyed a positive start to the pre-season, going unbeaten. It started in Darlington with a 4-0 win, back in Norfolk with a 3-0 win over Dereham and then just across the border to Suffolk for a win over Lowestoft, 4-1. Carrow Road was the scene for an admirable 2-2 draw with Portugese giants Porto, before a 3-0 win over Kings Lynn. Pre-season ended with a disappointing 1-1 draw at Huddersfield Town, managed by former Norwich assistant Lee Clark.

An 86th minute goal from on loan striker Arturo Lupoli resuced a point for the Canaries in the season opener against Southampton. A 3-0 win over Morecambe put the club into the second round of the Carling Cup, where they will play Birmingham City at St Andrews.

People shouldn't be moaning at you for starting another story, you may start as many as you like when you like.

Arturo Lupoli will be one of the key players for you this season I feel, despite only being on loan. Your pre-season went well which is great to see, especially with the draw at home to Porto but you ended poorly with a draw and that form seemed to carry on into your League Campaign instead of your earlier pre-season form. Hopefully you can have a nice cup run and get the Canaries promoted. If that's possible. ;)

Good luck, Lee.

Transfer Talk

Norwich City have been short-changed in the summer transfer window, with caretaker manager Bryan Gunn only being offered ?500,000 from the cash-strapped board. This meant, like his predecessor, he had to go looking in the loan market and brought in English trialists 18-year-old Danny Kelly, 20-year-old Ryan Hall and 21-year-old Owen Price. Also coming to Carrow Road is 17-year-old Paris Cowan-Hall, on loan from Portsmouth.

Elsewhere in the world of football, Manchester United won the Community Shield with a 2-1 win over Portsmouth, thanks to Tevez and Rooney, while the Premier League opener saw Chelsea beat London rivals Fulham 2-0.

Who's next?

Norwich City travel to Wales next for a Championship clash with Swansea City, newly promoted. Can the small household bird defeat the large royally-protected one?

Owen Price is the only one of the trialists I've heard of, plays for Spurs and is a decent player. Paris Cowan-Hall is a decent player but won't set the league on fire. Hopefully he can perform well under Payne. United won the Charity Shield as expected and Fulham lost to Chelsea as expected, no real shocks. Swansea City are a good team with some very good players which I think would be a difficult game at home, let alone away. I think you'll get a draw, 2-2 or or 1-1. I'll say 2-2.

Good presentation, looking forward to the first match against Swansea City.

At last! Another story from you Lee. I really enjoy reading your stories and was a shame not to see your other ones continued. Good luck with this one :)

Looking good so far. When have you got the easy game @ PR? or @ CR for that matter?

Good luck with this story, for some bizarre reason I like to see Norwich doing well in anyone's stories.

'Last season I could come to Wales once and not have to come back for a year. Now I have to go twice in one season!'

THE MAN WITH A SCOTTISH NAME FROM TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO WHO PLAYS FOR A WELSH CLUB MANAGED BY A SPANIARD WHO SCORED AGAINST AN ENGLISH TEAM

Norwich City caretaker manager Bryan Gunn was in a deflated mood as he saw his side lose 1-0 to Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium in a difficult, close game.

The Canaries were dealt a hammer blow after Darel Russell was injured at the death of the game, while Jason Scotland scored the winner for the Swans midway through the second half.

Bryan Gunn has to find a solution to Norwich's famously poor away form.

CANARIES GRAB FIRST WIN - BUT COULD CURETON BE ON HIS WAY OUT?

"He scored against the scum..." but is Jamie Cureton leaving Norwich?

Norwich City enjoyed a 3-0 win over Blackpool, but it could have been Jamie Cureton's last game for his supported club.

Cureton has spent 16 years at the Canaries, but has been offered to other clubs for a fee of ?100,000 as a means of raising funds to tempt striker James Keene from Elfsborg.

Cureton celebrated with his team mates as midfielder David Bell scored twice in the second half to give City their first win of the season at Carrow Road. Arturo Lupoli added a third in stoppage time.

Cureton said: "I'm disappointed to be on the transfer list. I am content here, but as they say, it might be the best thing for me. A fresh start might get my old scoring touch back,"

"This new club will probably be my last so I want it to be something special."

Championship Results

Barnsley 2-1 Derby County
Birmingham City 1-0 Bristol City
Burnley 2-2 Cardiff City
Charlton Athletic 3-1 Swansea City
Doncaster Rovers 0-1 Sheffield United
Plymouth Argyle 2-1 Nottingham Forest
Preston North End 5-4 Queens Park Rangers
Reading 4-0 Southampton
Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 Crystal Palace
Watford 1-2 Ipswich Town
Coventry City 0-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Nice win against Blackpool dude. A nice way to bounce back from the loss against Swansea.

Good win against Blackpool, the scoreline suggest it was a one sided game that was very comfortable for Norwich. If so it was the exact game they would of been looking for after the poor result against Swansea. Hopefully this form can continue.

Good presentation here Lee, although would like to see more writing and a little bit more insight into how the match panned out. Apart from that, nice to see the other scores from other games. Keep it up.

Brave Canaries knocked out of Carling Cup

NORWICH CITY have been eliminated from the Carling Cup after an extra time defeat to Coca-Cola Championship rivals Birmingham City at St Andrews.

35-year-old veteran Kevin Phillips broke the deadlock in the 94th minute, latching onto a loose ball and slotting low into David Marshall's net.

Just 14,112 people were inside the ground to witness the tie.

Goreham predicts good run for City

chris_goreham_kevin_400_400x300.jpg

BBC Radio Norfolk's Norwich City football commentator Chris Goreham believes the Canaries can set their season on track with a good run in their next three matches.

The team travel to Sheffield United, before a home game against newly-promoted Doncaster Rovers and an away game at Crystal Palace.

"Norwich are good enough to beat all of those sides, and if we do, we'll have made a great start to the season."

Very unlucky with the Birmingham match. However, Kevin Phillips is a really good goal poacher in the Championship. Maybe you should look to buy him! :)

Btw, have you ever been to the mustard shop in Norwich??? :p

No, but I've walked past it thousands of times.
