Disaster strikes Pakistan!

Pakistan had Misbah-ul-Haq and Fawad Alam at crease. Their partnership went on for 7 runs, until Misbah-ul-Haq misplaced a sweep shot and was cleaned up by Maruma.

Fawad Alam was the next victim of Mpofu. Gone off a mistimed cover drive.

Shoaib Malik and Kamran Akmal put up a partnership of 4 runs before Shoaib Malik was cleaned up by Maruma.

Umar Gul was the next man in. Kamran Akmal was the next man out followed by the wickets of Umar Gul and Sohail Tanvir. Umar Gul was also run out and Sohail Tanvir was bowled by Mpofu!

Heart attack for me Pakistan bowled out for jusy 36 runs but moreover its Zimbabwe who have made the Pakistan team like the under 14 team. Just 2 bowlers used by them and not even a single bastman has reached double figures except Afridi and thats why i say Afridi is great . Shocking defeat for Pakistan still they just lost by 83 runs. Great graphics still rocks and nice animation

KX: Don't go for your shots all the time. Try to pace the innings and don't play like 10 overs match. Use some AI patches as well

Today we got to see a really good game between Zimbabwe and Pakistan which was actually only good for Zimbabwe and I am sure that the Pakistanis will never forget this game as this has been their lowest inning total in an ODI inning and that also against a team that is not a Test Playing team. So let me call over, the losing captain, Shoaib Malik.

Rameez: Umm...A very dissappointing loss here today.

Shoaib Malik: Yea, it is indeed. We batted really bad out there and we deserved to lose this game.

Rameez: Your bowlers bowled really well and restricted the Zimbabwe batting to 119 only. You guys must have thought that this would be an easy target to chase.

Shoaib: Yea, the bowlers bowled really well and kept the target low and we though that the target would be really easy to chase and thats where we went wrong. Overcondfidence made us pay.

Rameez: Thanks for being here with us Shoaib, and best of luck for your next game.

Shoaib: Thank you.

Rameez: Now may I please call upon, the winning captain, Prosper Utseya.

Rameez: Very good win for you guys here. Really unexpected wasn't it?

Utseya: Yes, a very good win and we are very happy with the victory. We never expected to get this victory and specially not by removing them all for just 36.

Rameez: You guys used only 2 bowlers, Mpofu and Maruma.

Utseya: Yes, we actually though of just trying Maruma for one over, as he is a spinner and it is really unusual to open the bowling with a spinner. We though we would remove him after the first over, but then he got an early break through for us by removing Imran Nazir, so I decided to let him continue and we were rewarded by this.

Rameez: Now time for the Man of the Match award. It was a really difficult decision between Maruma and Mpofu, but the final decision went in the favour of Maruma who got the more important wickets. Maruma, please come up and collect your award.

Maruma: Yes, I bowled really well and also surprised myself and I had a very good match too. I never though I could bowl so well against such a top-class team.

Maruma: Ummm..thats a difficult question. I think today was my day and I bowled well. I hope to bowl well the next game too though. Pakistan are a great team, and every team has a bad day, today was their bad day.

What is your plan for the next game?

Our plan for the next game would be that we concentrate on our batting. We are eagerly waiting for Shoaib Akhtar's return too. Although we might not have any changes in our team except Shoaib Akhtar's change.

What do you think are the contributing facts to the terrible performance of the team, against Zimbabwe?

Well...thats a quite obvious question. Our bowling was superb. We restricted them to 119, but the reason for our loss was our overconfidence. We thought that we had this game in our pockets and took the game really easy even after losing 3-4 wickets. We had to concentrate and play slow which we did not do at all.

How do you think Pakistan Cricket can move forward and forget about this game?

All we can do is keep our eyes on our next game and never repeat the mistakes that we made in this game. Thats all what I can say for now.

So how will the board react after this shocking defeat ?

I have no clue about this question! Sorry.

Will they bring S.Akthar back anytime?

Yea, we are planning to bring him back, but he has to prove his fitness. He was injured during the test series and according to our physio, he is almost fit to play and we hope is 100% fit before the next game.

Will they sack you from your captaincy?

Umm...I don't think one bad victory would lose me my captaincy. Every captain has a bad day, and today was mine.

How would you comment on your recent form?

My recent form has been really poor these days. I played lower down the order because of my form and still could not perform well and help the team to victory.

Why do you always bat well against India(ODIs) especially in that no3 position until you were forced to play down the order?

Umm..Thats a good question. As I said earlier, my form has been really poor these days, so I decided to bat lower down the order and send Fawad before me. I might get back to number 3 again for the next game.

Nice press conference. Malik answered those questions nicely. The captain is always under huge pressure to answer the questions at the press conference after a big defeat but Malik handled it nicely.
