Former captains Wasim Akram and Rameez Raja have signed formal contracts with the PCB to be the brand ambassadors of the Pakistan T20 Super League (PSL) for the next three years.

In its inaugural edition, the PSL will only have a total of five teams, after which the number of teams are going to shoot up, depending on the success of the tournament.

Various cricket leagues around the world have taken shape after the success of the T20 format and it will be interesting to see if the PSL will also reach the heights attained by leagues such as the IPL, CPL and Big Bash.

The league will use a draft system for player recruitment, similar to that of the American National Football League, as opposed to the auction system used in other T20 leagues.

The inaugural season will be played 20 days and would involve a total of 24 matches, being at the venue UAE The 5 teams will play each other twice in a league format before the Play Offs.

Currently Pakistan Super League has five city-based franchises as below:

Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta.

It is simple Players are placed in performances order in different categories
Example:(There are 3 Categories one is Gold second is Silver and third is bronze different levels of players will be placed in these three categories.AB de Villiers,Brendon McCullum and Steven Smith are placed in Gold.Mohammad Hafeez,Nathan Coulter-Nile,Ben Stokes are placed in Silver and so on in Bronze also.There are 3 Teams based on 3 Franchises so 1 Team pick one player from Gold,Silver,Bronze and so on Second and Third Teams).
This was just an Example and Draft System is Used so that Players are Divided Equally by Performances to All Teams.
