Story Pakistan's Road to Glory (ICC 2008) **1st test, presentation update**

Well, well. This Pakistani bowling attack has surprised me. Everyone has kept it tight and the pressure applied by the opening bowlers told when Anjum and Afridi, got their wickets. Only Gambhir has put up much of a fight, if Pakistan can get him, India could very easily collapse. Can't wait for the next update to see what happens :)

Awesome scorecards mate, very nice

Great start for the Pakistanis. Brilliant bowling. They kept it tight and Afridi bowled well and did great to pick up the wicket of Sachin. Great scorecards kiu!

Indian are in trouble , but we still have Gauti and Dada who can kill any attack if they tstay their for a long time. We need a good partnership now..

Woopy Doopy :happy India in trouble, one mroe wicket India will be in graveyard :D unless Dada clicks ;) great presentation Raamzy :clap

No one would've expected that sort of scorecard at the start of the game. 2 more wickets here and Pakistan will have the upper hand.
Great presentation Ramz and nice work with Gfx :)

Thats great bowling by Pakistan. The key will be to break this partnership and put more pressure so that they can restrict India before 200.

Great works KX!

The second session started with Gambhir and Ganguly on strike. Shahid Afridi continued to bowl from one end, while Shoaib Malik replaced Iftikhar Anjum on the other end. Afridi finally got the really important break through by removing Ganguly, bowled for 16 off 63.

Next man in was Karthik and India were in even more trouble. Karthik did not last long. Gambhir smashed a four at long off and got a single. Karthik, who wasn't looking in good touch, went down the ground, swung and missed and Kamran Akmal made no mistakes behind the stumps and whipped off the bails in no time. This wicket exposed India's tail and Anil Kumble came in next.

At the other end, Umar Gul replaced Shoaib Malik. Shahid Afridi finally finished a 23 over long spell and was replaced by Sohail Khan. Gambhir and Kumle quickly reached a partnership of 60 and Mohammed Hafeez replaced Umar Gul, while Sohail Khan continued.

Wickets werent falling, and so Shahid Afridi replaced Hafeez and finally broke the 91 runs partnership in his second over of the spell by trapping Kumble LBW for 35 off 67. This brought Harbajhan Singh onto the crease.

Iftikhar Anjum came in to bowl, and struck a really important blow, getting rid of the danger man, Gautam Gambhir, caught behind by Kamran Akmal for a brilliant 121 off 235. Zaheer Khan came in to bat next with just 2 more wickets to go.

The new ball was offered to Pakistan and Iftikhar Anjum struck on the very first ball with the new ball and got Harbajhan Singh, LBW for 1 off 20 balls. The last man in was RP Singh.

Wickets weren't falling, and Shoaib Malik brought Hafeez back in who removed Zaheer Khan for 20 off 44 balls, caught by Younis Khan in deep.

India ended up with a somewhat good score of 248.

Excellent bowling performance by Afridi and Rao, the two "under-dogs" of this bowling attack.

I expected Gul to perform a bit more though...

Good bowling by Afridi, Iftikhar and that was some classy batting from Gambhir as usual. 248 is a good total looking at the way India were batting previous day. Now Pakistan batsmen have a lot of work to do in the middle. If they can manage to get 300 here, the Indians will be under pressure.

Nice works KX :cheers

India did well to get onto 248. Even I'm disappointed with GUl. Lot was expected from him. Pakistan should atleast make 300.

Nice presentation Ramz... Keep Up!!

All the bowlers did exceptionally well. I think that the Pakistani Batting line-up is going to be tested against Zaheer, Kumble and Harbhajan.

Great works Rameez. Scorecards are one of the best I have seen in a long time! :clap

Only Gambhir really excelled in the batting for India, with a few starts but their batsmen just failed to convert those starts. Afridi and Anjum were just sensantional with the ball, picking up the wickets when they needed them. They also finished with great economy rates which is even a bigger bonus.

Pakistan should have the strength in their batting to bypass India's score and to take the lead. Good work and great presentation, KX.

Very poor performance from India. Especially Tendulkar, Dravid , Ganguly... All the experienced class batsmen became the victims of Afridi... Very poor performance from India.

Keep up the good works :thumbs

surendar added 0 Minutes and 15 Seconds later...
