So why release a half baked game in December?
Did they... ? Or was this pressure from the publishers.[DOUBLEPOST=1492587340][/DOUBLEPOST]
Well I think you believe wrong

"Hello everyone!

On behalf of Big Ant, I'd like to share a brief message regarding the fourth patch for Don Bradman Cricket 17. We're happy to announce today that the patch will be available towards the end of April."
Hello... To you too... Can you quote your source for the info.

I would prefer Big Ant take their time to develop the patch and fix the game. No point in releasing it at the end of April or some other time if some of the major issues still persist.

Agreed - it is important to get all the major issues sorted even if there is a slight delay. The fact that some are testing the patch is a good sign that things are progressing?

However (playing devil's advocate), they have been working on the patch for a few months now (unless I'm mistaken) and gave the 'towards the end of April' timeframe for it to be available for us so it will be interesting to see what happens. We have also not received any official update since the initial post so we will have to play the waiting game.

In my opinion Big Ant have probably left it a little too late to delay the patch as the promise for the end of April has been around for a while now and if they are to hit that the patch must be already with Sony and Microsoft or be with them early next week. Now obviously I only want the very best for the game and I want a patch that really does the game's brilliant core mechanics justice and I am willing to wait for that; however I believe that Big Ant would have said something by now if a delay was inevitable.

WOW everyone is getting too excited about patch 4 , its like waiting for Christmas day to come.
Big ant have not said its delayed but people are all getting a bit hypo!
God help us when people get patch 4 then start ripping into the perceived faults it has!
patch 4 can only improve the game for me i have not played Don Bradman 17 for over 2 months , in its current state its not enjoyable as the original.

This I am dreading - the shitfest that has been PlanetCricket of late will seem like a walk in the park compared to what will happen post patch 4 release!

Tommy Tantrum will drop his lollies what ever so end of April commeth the rage will starteth!!! Sad saps...

I'm very much in the camp of 'get it right, then release' rather than 'get something out to meet an arbitrary date'. Whatever we do get in Patch 4, I still expect that there will be a few bugs that need fixing and a few tweaks needed (Patch 5 and beyond) but I'm optimistic that the big ticket items will be addressed as long as they don't rush it just to avoid the potential flack ensuing from slipping the April date. The reason why I'm optimistic is that they have a great track record and they seem to have enlisted a decent set of testers from the user community. I just hope that everyone gets the fact that if they release in April (and it's not perfect), they do this to meet demand for some improvements soon, and if they slip the date (and it's better when it lands), they do this to meet demand for more comprehensive fixes. I can see a case where BA will be damned either way if people don't have a proper perspective. I'm all for assuming positive intent, whatever decision is made.

I am instantly appropriating this for common internet usage.
I should say their but it's very 'him' dominated here and seeing as I'm the only member of the superior sex and so many jump out of the pram we'll keep the status que... Unless other females are on here... ?

Wait for the bomb to drop when patch 4 doesn't come out end of April (just me saying).
