Patch Discussion - PS4 (1.11), Xbox One (1.0.0.12) and Steam

Indeed, no wickets in career mode for me still. Can someone who plays casual mode or tournaments report whether they are able to take wickets? And if so, what do they look like? Are they edges, LBW's, bowled etc.

I play with modifiers ON (Hardest), but on Standard Controls. Is there a particular instance/situation when the 'weird animation' happens?

Try with Modifiers ON & Classic controls...
With Standard controls the footwork is much responsive (as in your case) but classic controls is what is most commonly used by everyone...

The weird animations occur (not always) especially in case of cover drives (the ball goes to mid on) & most weirdly in case of Square drives on off side the ball goes to square leg ( as in a pull shot) & when playing a back foot pull shot the ball travels to point region...

EDIT: That apart with Modifiers ON, the problem of sticky front foot being least responsive to movement of LS persists & thus have to keep the modifiers OFF, which prevents me to tweak & make use of the sliders in way to make the gameplay feel more close to realistic....Have to play with the preset batting difficulties (where we cannot see what are their respective slider values )

some stadiums still have lag in night matches like WACA -especially when using the fielding 1 camera angle for running.

I have tried casual and tournament mode. You need to grind a lot for wickets in test matches even on easiest mode. Wickets in limited over matches is rarity.

Finally managed to complete the first ODI match since the new patch.

Playing as England against Australia.
Difficulty - Legend/Hardest/Hardest

Batted first and posted score of 286 with the help of brilliant partnership between Eion Morgan and Ben stokes. The last ten overs were definitely difficult to score off.

Coulter-Nile was pick of the bowlers. Starc bowled pretty well with tight lines. Meanwhile, Zampa was taken to cleaning, especially due to the strange field set during powerplay and then bowling down the leg line. This allowed Morgan and Stokes to settle in.

Chasing 288, Aussies lost both openers quickly. A quick fire from Maxwell helped the scoring rate. But soon after his dismissal it was all about consolidation from McDermott and Carey. Maybe a bit over cautious till the 30th. Felt they did lack intent during the period. (Warney would have agreed as well).

After 40 overs, Australia needed 89 with 7 wickets in hand. Partnership started to look good.

Did you simulate anything or bowl yourself to take wickets?

T20 match on Veteran/Hardest/Hardest
India (me) vs Australia

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Intent from the word go. Definitely felt the difference in aggressiveness from the AI. The running between wickets during end overs was something I have never seen from the AI before(included in the highlights video). I am definitely getting wickets while bowling, no problems there.

Watch the Australian Innings highlights below.

In reply, India lost wickets early and regularly. In the end King Kohli's unbeaten 69 wasn't good enough.

Lofted shots seemed difficult to time. Same happened in the ODI I played. Not sure if it's the new patch or something I changed in the modifiers. Nevertheless, batting was very challenging.

One thing that surprised me during Indian Innings was Finchy's catch to dismiss the baby sitter. Check out the below video for the brilliant catch. I am sure many would like it.

Though we lost by 17 runs, this definitely felt like a T20 and enjoyed every bit of it.

Once again, thanks for reading.
