nah man u are totally off my question! i know too darn well that over 700mb wld be hard to put on a cd ... im basically asking how did gamerkid know it was abt 2GB ... please read the forum before hand and then reply! :readit and then talk **** :swords
Not really a good idea to have a go at one of the forum admins is it? 0/10 for intelligence there.

Have a look at gamerkid22's post again. He says it might be a 3CD game. This of course would be approximately 2GB. He never says it is a 3CD game does he?

2GB's isn't that much compared to other games - DVD's have about 5GB

That saves about 3GB's for the DVD - they can add more things like the stump-out animation, numbers on the back of players shirt, etc...

I am actually happy to see that finally someone like Codemasters has done something better for Cricket game.
First of all, all the popular and best selling games in todays world have heaps of content and extra features. Plus you need a lot of storing space for better graphics, gameplay, sound, textures and other cool features. So the games have to come out on multiple CD's or single DVD's.
But buying a game on multiple CD's is not a good option because if one cd gets a scratch or two then the whole game's Cd's are worthless. backing up all the cd's is still not a feasible solution.
Whereas a DVD version of game can be bought and then a back up image can be stored on your computer hence providing a good security and longer life to your purchase.
And yes it will take upto >1.8 GB of ur hard drive space which I believe is still pretty less. So what, how cheap are hard drives these days. If some of you are still on those (20 GB PIII 256 MB ram intel graphic chips) computers or laptops then come on guys, do something for the love of the game. Get a new computer. get an upgrade.
The Gaming world is changing. Don't get left behind.
Has anyone checked out Unreal Tournament 2004 Editor's Choice Edition
It comes on 7 Cd's or a single Dual Layer DVD and its about 5.7 GB of compressed data. After full installation it will take up to 11 GB space on your hard drive. And it doesn't have face packs like Cricket games but a fully made or developed character taking about 5 MB space. And it has about 100 different characters in the game with the option of adding more infinitely. How about that sort of thing for a Cricket game. Any new player that shows up in a team can be added to the game as well with his own individual looks and characteristics.
I actually want Cricket games to be competing right up there because that's where the Gaming World has gone today.
So guys I am thinking for Cricket 2005 (both games) u need to have at least following configuration to at least enjoy the game at bearable fps.
P4 1.8 GHz, 512 MB ram, 128 MB graphics card.(those 64 MB ones won't do the job now), A DVD-rom or DVD-writer is a must.
So with a heavy heart I should say if u don't have that much then I am afraid u won't get get good fps in ur game so think before u even buy it. This is the harsh truth.
Do a google on todays gaming industry and u will see how far behind even cricket 2005 will be from other games. In fact, nowhere near.
I hope this would have answered all of ur queries and doubts about Cricket 2005.
Thanks. Check out my records in the No AI patch forums.
