Durban Bulldogs' skipper Hashim Amla was left to rue his suicidal decision of sending WCF in to bat after having won the toss. His team would now have to chase down 364 without two of their batting mainstays in Shane Watson (playing for WCF) and Sachin Tendulkar (unavailable) in the lineup.

West Coast Fever, the team regarded by many as the strongest ever to emerge from a nation-based premier league in the history of the PC cricket leagues section, were duly crowned the Champion of Champions. They finished the tournament unbeaten after 7 matches in a manner not too dissimilar to the Australian teams that won the World Cups of 2003 and 2007. Their squad also contained some key members of those teams such as Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, Brett Lee, Michael Hussey, Shane Watson, Mitchell Johnson and Brad Hodge.
The Durban Bulldogs were forced to settle for second place, which is no mean achievement in a tournament featuring only CL champions. They were second only to West Coast Fever throughout the whole competition and even managed a victory against the similarly powerful Basnahira Bears in the semi-final, which consigned the latter to a lowly third place given their high performance standards.
Adam Gilchrist was named Man of the Match for having played one of the most stunning knocks in the history of the Champions League. His 164 which came off just 134 balls and contained a record 13 sixes, had completely demoralised the Durban Bulldogs. It showed as they crumbled under pressure for a paltry 213 in response to WCF's 363.
Kumar Sangakkara, who had scored runs like a run machine for all of the franchises he represented in the tournament and played a key role as a wicket-keeper batsman, was named Player of the Tournament. His figures included 367 runs at a mind-boggling 122.33 (as a result of 4 not outs) for his local franchise Basnahira Bears, 232 runs at 77.33 for the Jamaica Bandits, 280 runs at 70.00 for the Sydney Stallions, and 197 runs at 65.67 for eventual champions West Coast Fever. In all, he had scored 1076 runs at an average of 82.77 from 21 matches. Those were his statistics as a batsman alone. As a wicket-keeper, he had effected 27 dismissals (26 ct 1st) after having kept wicket in 15 innings. No player was more deserving of the honor.

PC Champion of Champions
The PC Champion of Champions is a List-A tournament which shall be played to celebrate the completion of fifteen seasons of the PC Champions League. As the name of the tournament suggests, it will feature the champions of every completed season of the Champions League since it's inception in 2010. It is set to be the ultimate prizefight between 12 different CL-winning teams, with the winner being crowned as the true Champion of Champions.
The 12 competing teams will be divided into two groups of six each, with the two best performing teams from each group moving on to the semi-final stage. The list of participants include the
Basnahira Bears (CL VIII & IX champions), Bengaluru Bulls (CL V champions), Centurion Lions (CL XI champions), Durban Bulldogs (CL IV champions), Hobart Tigers (CL XV champions), Jamaica Bandits (CL XIII champions), Liverpool Lightning (CL VI champions), Manchester Cricket Club (CL III champions), Manicaland Bulls (CL X champions), Sydney Stallions (CL VII champions), Toronto Hurricanes (CL XIV champions) and West Coast Fever (CL XII champions).The
United Arab Emirates, a completely neutral venue for all the participating teams will play hosts to the tournament. The country hosted an ICC tournament as recently as 2014 - the 2014 U-19 Cricket World Cup, which was won by South Africa.

Guidelines
- After the group stage, the top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals.
- Positions are decided by most points. Where two or more teams are tied on points, the following methods will be taken into account to decide which team goes through :-
1) Higher net run rate.
2) Winners of head-to-head matches.
3) Higher number of wickets per ball.
- If the semi-final is tied, the following methods will be taken into account to decide the winner :-
1) Lesser number of wickets down.
2) Winners of head-to-head matches.
3) Better finish the the group stage.
4) Higher run rate in the first 20 overs of an innings.
- If the final is tied, the two finalists will be declared joint winners of the tournament.

2) Players contracted as overseas professionals by two teams having a fixture together will be declared available randomly for either one of the two teams involved. If there is only one such player clashing, he will be declared unavailable for the match.
3) Players contracted as locals by two teams having a fixture together will be declared available randomly for either one of the two teams involved. If there is only one such player clashing, he will be declared unavailable for the match.
3) In a match involving more than two player clashes, where both teams happen to be foreign to the players clashing, one or more players will be declared unavailable at random for the match in question.

Summary
The PC Champion of Champions was a List-A tournament played in the United Arab Emirates to celebrate the completion of fifteen seasons of the PC Champions League. As the name of the tournament suggested, it featured the champions of every completed season of the Champions League since it's inception in 2010 by the late Mihir Doshi. It turned out to be the ultimate prizefight between 12 different Champions League-winning teams, with the winner eventually being crowned as the true Champion of Champions.
The 12 competing teams were divided into two groups of six for the group stages, with the top two from each group qualifying for the semi-finals. The Basnahira Bears (CL VIII & IX champions), Centurion Lions (CL XI champions), Jamaica Bandits (CL XIII champions), Manchester CC (CL III champions), Sydney Stallions (CL VII champions) and Toronto Hurricanes (CL XIV champions) formed Group A, while Group B consisted of the Bengaluru Bulls (CL V champions), Durban Bulldogs (CL IV champions), Hobart Tigers (CL XV champions), Liverpool Lightning (CL VI champions), Manicaland Bulls (CL X champions) and West Coast Fever (CL XII champions). The group stage matches were evenly distributed across four different venues, namely the ICC Academy Ground and Dubai International Stadium in Dubai, the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, and the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah - one of the most iconic venues for one-day matches played in Asia.
Group A was thoroughly dominated by 2-time CL winners Basnahira Bears, who won all 5 of their matches to finish at the very top of their group. Joining them in the semi-finals were Manchester CC, who managed to edge out the Jamaica Bandits on net run rate after finishing with the same number of wins i.e 3 from their 5 matches. The latter lost quite unexpectedly to the unfancied Canadian franchise Toronto Hurricanes in their final group match by a narrow 14-run margin to botch up their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals. The Centurion Lions showed occasional spark but failed to live up to their potential. Despite having a squad boasting of big names such as Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli, Mitchell Johnson and Lasith Malinga among others, they could win only 2 out of 5 group matches. They were consequently knocked out of contention for a semi-final berth alongside the Jamaica Bandits, Toronto Hurricanes (1 win out of 5 matches) and Sydney Stallions (1 win out of 5 matches).
Group B on the other hand was similarly dominated by West Coast Fever and in patches by the Durban Bulldogs. The former finished with 5 wins out of 5 group matches, while the latter finished with 3 wins out of 5 group matches. However, both teams managed to win heavily enough to maintain a net run rate of above +1.000. Durban finished with a net run rate of +1.312 to West Coast Fever's +1.173 as a result of two victories by huge margins by 9 wickets and 135 runs over Bengaluru Bulls and Hobart Tigers respectively, thus gaining them an easy passage over the Manicaland Bulls (3 wins out of 5 matches) by virtue of net run rate. The teams knocked out of contention for a semi-final berth from Group B alongside the Manicaland Bulls were Liverpool Lightning (2 wins out of 5 matches), Hobart Tigers (2 wins out of 5 matches) and Bengaluru Bulls (zero wins). The Bengaluru Bulls were the only team to finish winless in the group stages in the entire competition.
The Basnahira Bears faced off against the Durban Bulldogs in the first semi-final. After losing the toss and being sent in to bat, Durban posted a competitive 264/6 from their 50 overs with Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar scoring his second century of the tournament. Basnahira succumbed to the pressure of chasing in a semi-final and folded for 201, as Graeme Swann picked 4 for 44 and Dale Steyn 3 for 36 to bowl Durban to the final with a convincing 63-run victory. Their dreams of being crowned the Champion of Champions to go with their impressive 2 Champions League victories were dashed. West Coast Fever joined the Durban Bulldogs for the final by beating Manchester CC in the second semi-final by a margin of 88 runs. Alastair Cook and captain Ricky Ponting scored half-centuries to help West Coast to a total of 269/9 from their 50 overs. Later, Daniel Vettori and Nathan Hauritz took advantage of a deteriorating pitch and routed Manchester for 181 with three wickets apiece.
Prior to the final, the eliminated teams faced each other in a consolatory round to determine the overall standings of the tournament. Basnahira Bears beat Manchester by 7 wickets to finish at 3rd place, Jamaica Bandits finished 5th place by beating the Manicaland Bulls also by 7 wickets, Liverpool Lightning beat Centurion Lions by 17 runs to finish 7th, Hobart Tigers beat fellow Australian franchise Sydney Stallions by 24 runs to finish 9th and Bengaluru Bulls managed to avoid the wooden spoon by emerging victorious in their clash against Toronto Hurricanes for 11th place by 129 runs.
The final which was played at the Dubai International Stadium was expected to be a thrilling game with some of the biggest names in cricket playing. The West Coast Fever lineup included the likes of Alastair Cook, Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Jacques Kallis, Shane Watson, Michael Hussey, Daniel Vettori, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee and Doug Bollinger. Meanwhile, the Durban Bulldogs were not too far apart in terms of quality despite missing two of their key performers in Shane Watson (playing for his local WCF) and Sachin Tendulkar (declared himself unavailable to avoid conflict of interest). Their lineup consisted of Brendon McCullum, Alviro Petersen, Hashim Amla, Ross Taylor, Dale Benkenstein, Zander de Bruyn, Heino Kuhn, Vernon Philander, Morne Morkel, Dale Steyn and Graeme Swann. It turned out to be a very anti-climactic affair with West Coast registering a crushing 150-run victory over their opponents. The Durban skipper Hashim Amla was left to rue his decision to send West Coast in to bat after winning the toss, as Adam Gilchrist defied age and expectations to score 164 off just 134 balls - his innings containing a record 13 sixes. Kumar Sangakkara, with an unbeaten 60 off 39 balls, and Jacques Kallis with 49 off 26 balls added to Durban's misery by taking their team's total to a gargantuan 363/3 off 50 overs. In response, Durban could only muster 213 from 43.5 overs. West Coast's left-arm quicks Mitchell Johnson and Doug Bollinger picked three wickets apiece in their team's comprehensive victory.
West Coast Fever gained the title of Champion of Champions as a result of their victory in their final. Often touted as the strongest team ever drafted in a premier league in the history of the PC cricket leagues section, they lived up to the expectations to win a tournament featuring only Champions League victors. Kumar Sangakkara, who batted like a run machine for all his franchises by totalling an awe-inspiring 1076 runs at an average of 82.77, and proved his worth as a wicket-keeper batsman with 27 dismissals from 15 innings, duly won the Player of the Tournament. No player was more deserving of the honor.

The Basnahira Bears (CL VIII & IX champions), Centurion Lions (CL XI champions), Jamaica Bandits (CL XIII champions), Manchester CC (CL III champions), Sydney Stallions (CL VII champions) and Toronto Hurricanes (CL XIV champions) formed Group A, while Group B consisted of the Bengaluru Bulls (CL V champions), Durban Bulldogs (CL IV champions), Hobart Tigers (CL XV champions), Liverpool Lightning (CL VI champions), Manicaland Bulls (CL X champions) and West Coast Fever (CL XII champions). The group stage matches were evenly distributed across four different venues, namely the ICC Academy Ground and Dubai International Stadium in Dubai, the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, and the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah - one of the most iconic venues for one-day matches played in Asia.
Group A was thoroughly dominated by 2-time CL winners Basnahira Bears, who won all 5 of their matches to finish at the very top of their group. Joining them in the semi-finals were Manchester CC, who managed to edge out the Jamaica Bandits on net run rate after finishing with the same number of wins i.e 3 from their 5 matches. The latter lost quite unexpectedly to the unfancied Canadian franchise Toronto Hurricanes in their final group match by a narrow 14-run margin to botch up their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals. The Centurion Lions showed occasional spark but failed to live up to their potential. Despite having a squad boasting of big names such as Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli, Mitchell Johnson and Lasith Malinga among others, they could win only 2 out of 5 group matches. They were consequently knocked out of contention for a semi-final berth alongside the Jamaica Bandits, Toronto Hurricanes (1 win out of 5 matches) and Sydney Stallions (1 win out of 5 matches).
Group B on the other hand was similarly dominated by West Coast Fever and in patches by the Durban Bulldogs. The former finished with 5 wins out of 5 group matches, while the latter finished with 3 wins out of 5 group matches. However, both teams managed to win heavily enough to maintain a net run rate of above +1.000. Durban finished with a net run rate of +1.312 to West Coast Fever's +1.173 as a result of two victories by huge margins by 9 wickets and 135 runs over Bengaluru Bulls and Hobart Tigers respectively, thus gaining them an easy passage over the Manicaland Bulls (3 wins out of 5 matches) by virtue of net run rate. The teams knocked out of contention for a semi-final berth from Group B alongside the Manicaland Bulls were Liverpool Lightning (2 wins out of 5 matches), Hobart Tigers (2 wins out of 5 matches) and Bengaluru Bulls (zero wins). The Bengaluru Bulls were the only team to finish winless in the group stages in the entire competition.
The Basnahira Bears faced off against the Durban Bulldogs in the first semi-final. After losing the toss and being sent in to bat, Durban posted a competitive 264/6 from their 50 overs with Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar scoring his second century of the tournament. Basnahira succumbed to the pressure of chasing in a semi-final and folded for 201, as Graeme Swann picked 4 for 44 and Dale Steyn 3 for 36 to bowl Durban to the final with a convincing 63-run victory. Their dreams of being crowned the Champion of Champions to go with their impressive 2 Champions League victories were dashed. West Coast Fever joined the Durban Bulldogs for the final by beating Manchester CC in the second semi-final by a margin of 88 runs. Alastair Cook and captain Ricky Ponting scored half-centuries to help West Coast to a total of 269/9 from their 50 overs. Later, Daniel Vettori and Nathan Hauritz took advantage of a deteriorating pitch and routed Manchester for 181 with three wickets apiece.
Prior to the final, the eliminated teams faced each other in a consolatory round to determine the overall standings of the tournament. Basnahira Bears beat Manchester by 7 wickets to finish at 3rd place, Jamaica Bandits finished 5th place by beating the Manicaland Bulls also by 7 wickets, Liverpool Lightning beat Centurion Lions by 17 runs to finish 7th, Hobart Tigers beat fellow Australian franchise Sydney Stallions by 24 runs to finish 9th and Bengaluru Bulls managed to avoid the wooden spoon by emerging victorious in their clash against Toronto Hurricanes for 11th place by 129 runs.
The final which was played at the Dubai International Stadium was expected to be a thrilling game with some of the biggest names in cricket playing. The West Coast Fever lineup included the likes of Alastair Cook, Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Jacques Kallis, Shane Watson, Michael Hussey, Daniel Vettori, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee and Doug Bollinger. Meanwhile, the Durban Bulldogs were not too far apart in terms of quality despite missing two of their key performers in Shane Watson (playing for his local WCF) and Sachin Tendulkar (declared himself unavailable to avoid conflict of interest). Their lineup consisted of Brendon McCullum, Alviro Petersen, Hashim Amla, Ross Taylor, Dale Benkenstein, Zander de Bruyn, Heino Kuhn, Vernon Philander, Morne Morkel, Dale Steyn and Graeme Swann. It turned out to be a very anti-climactic affair with West Coast registering a crushing 150-run victory over their opponents. The Durban skipper Hashim Amla was left to rue his decision to send West Coast in to bat after winning the toss, as Adam Gilchrist defied age and expectations to score 164 off just 134 balls - his innings containing a record 13 sixes. Kumar Sangakkara, with an unbeaten 60 off 39 balls, and Jacques Kallis with 49 off 26 balls added to Durban's misery by taking their team's total to a gargantuan 363/3 off 50 overs. In response, Durban could only muster 213 from 43.5 overs. West Coast's left-arm quicks Mitchell Johnson and Doug Bollinger picked three wickets apiece in their team's comprehensive victory.
West Coast Fever gained the title of Champion of Champions as a result of their victory in their final. Often touted as the strongest team ever drafted in a premier league in the history of the PC cricket leagues section, they lived up to the expectations to win a tournament featuring only Champions League victors. Kumar Sangakkara, who batted like a run machine for all his franchises by totalling an awe-inspiring 1076 runs at an average of 82.77, and proved his worth as a wicket-keeper batsman with 27 dismissals from 15 innings, duly won the Player of the Tournament. No player was more deserving of the honor.

Time to have a look into CL XVI? Found this table done up by @Na Maloom Afraad in my ELA thread. After adding the champions of the Royal London One Day Cup and Emirates Cricket League, the team count for the next CL stands at 13. We could have an even 14 if I'm able to finish the Europa Cup on time (I'll try, but don't wait up ).
